hmmmmm i just dont get people who want the happy go lucky bruce/dick separation where dick is just like I am going to be nightwing with the titans now and bruce is like okkkkk bye have fun love you 👋🏻 how boring! very boring! why would years of heavy codependence between a man who has spent his entire adult life lonely and yearning for familial affection and a young man who was shown such kindness and care by one (1) person after his parents’ death who so easily took him in as his own end in a normal and pretty separation with more grace than a regular parent sending their only child off to college? i don’t get why you would not want to play into bruce’s deep seated fears of losing his loved ones and the way that makes him sabotage his own relationships that’s like bruce wayne 101 and it’s also storytelling 101! the separation being normal undermines their entire current dynamic AND bruce’s dynamic with other characters namely jason it takes away so much sauce from both characters it’s quite ridiculous
