i've thought about declan/gray man + daddy issues, but have we considered the continued exploration of declan's mommy/daddy issues with declan/seondeok?
the professional familiarity between them, the way declan thinks well of seondeok because she's never made him feel afraid while he's handing over the artifacts she wants. the fact that she called him to give him a friendly warning. seondeok clearly expects respect from declan, "niall lynch's steel-jawed son," and declan gives her deference, calling her "seonsaegnim," teacher, a title of respect. it's a little insincere, a little cheeky, but there's a certain appeal to it and it pleases her anyway. and then she does a whole, "i'm not your mommy, kid; i'm just as bad as the rest of them" bit as if she wasn't the one to call him. like, tell me that isn't kind of hot?

I still feel robbed that we didn't get any Seondeok and Declan interactions in TDT.
