Noah shook his head sadly. they... already have. they... will again. but this... i want to do it for me."
ㅡ the raven king (not aftg) chapter 16
first read here and there's something so violently human and heartbreaking with noah's character that resonates a lot with me. you can't just read him as the ghost friend and that's how great the character writing is in this series.
if you look at his death more metaphorically like a death-felt event or traumas that changed him, altered him, something that was stolen from him against his will, all his ghosty actions and thoughts are in fact the most human-like. how he sees and feel himself slowly decaying because he can't have back what was taken, how quiet he became, how he wants his friends to know that he was more before, how he needs his friends to live with a little energy, how afraid he is, how he stays away from mirrors, how he doesn't dream anymore but used to have the wildest living dreams and imagination, how he stopped being human when he stopped fulfilling his needs (eating, sleeping...) yet still wants things ㅡ he still wants to stay, to protect, to laugh, how he wishes he was listened to and how at times, darkness takes over him.
instead of inspiring death, i feel like his character is about life. idk if this post makes sense i cant stop yapping on this series tbh. i love him so much my babyyy.
