Genuinely so happy I has the opportunity to go here before the museum closed down. I definitely recommend the tour which is only $29 and it shows you all the locations of the town, but can also do a tour for all in georgia!! Anyways, best day if my, 10/10 recommend

fuck ok sorry ik i said i was gonna post my pics from senioa like forever ago but ive been so busy with school and like just super out of it the past few weeks so agh ok here it is... I tried to compile them all together and label things so its more cohesive to look at lol
I know this is super delayed (whatâs new when it comes to my page lmao) but Iâd love to share some pictures from my trip to Senoia/visiting some of the sets used for filming TWD!
(Iâm going to attach the âRead Moreâ tab so I donât clutter anyoneâs feed lol Tumblr also limits posts to only 10 images so Iâll just do a few!)
SO! Senoia, GA (aka Woodbury circa season 3) is actually a real-life, functioning, historical town!
Itâs honestly so cute and I swear, it really feels like youâve been transported back to Woodbury the minute you arrive (minus the zombies/apocalyptic wasteland vibes lol)
We also saw the âpudding houseâ on the tour! After the prison falls and Rick and Carl are on their own, Carl finds a big ole can of chocolate pudding and eats it on the roof of this house! (Fun Fact: recently, the actual homeowners were away on vacation and a couple of TWD fans broke into their house and took pictures on the roof, wanting to recreate the sceneâŚthe homeowners had no idea this happened until they saw a picture pop up onlineâŚthe home is now for sale for obvious reasons lol)
The next location was the âClaimers Houseâ! This was where we were first introduced to that group â ya know, when Rick strangled one to death in the bathroom and escaped out the window? That little porch area on the left side is where Joe was sitting and Rick was hiding behind! Eek! So cool!
Then we have the long stretch of railroad that was filmed while the group was en route to Terminus! (Another fun fact: the bridge pictured was built into the tunnel that Glenn and Maggie reunite in!)
Next, we have the alleyway Eugene was featured in during season 11! (Itâs super cool how they still used little areas of Senoia for later seasons!)
And thenâŚALEXANDRIA.
By far my favorite location! Standing right outside the walls wasâŚsurreal? I donât even know how to describe it but I did shed a tear or two lmao (NO SHAME, ITâS MY HAPPY PLACE) I feel like a lot of my stories are set in Alexandria so seeing it come to life was just oh so beautiful.
ANDâŚthe front gates of Alexandria! Because itâs featured so much in the show (and real people actually live in these condos) thereâs a blockade at the end of the street so hereâs a picture from pretty far away lol (still so surreal!)
Another place we saw was where they filmed âHereâs Neganâ (AKA Negan and Lucilleâs home pre-apocalypse!) As well as the garage they filmed Andreaâs death scene in/when Maggie and Glenn were kidnapped by Merle and held at Woodbury. There were a few other little locations/fun behind the scenes info we got that I didnât snag any pictures of but all in all, such an amazing tour!
In Senoia, thereâs also a âTWD Museumâ with tons of merchandise! PLUSâŚreal props used in the show!!! Here are just a few!
Anywho, thatâs pretty much it! If anyone has ever gone to Senoia, Iâd love to hear about your experience! And if you havenât, I highly recommend it! I had the best time being immersed in my all-time favorite world.
Lastly, although I was unable to meet Norman Reedus at the convention due to his cancellation, I did meet someone elseâŚ
MR. DARYL DIXON, HIMSELF.
HAHA okay, kidding, but I couldnât resist a quick photo op lol anywho, thatâs all! Thanks for joining me on this trip down memory lane! Hope you enjoyedđ

Hello my lovely TDers!! My daughter and I spent Halloween weekend in Griffin, Senoia and Newnan GA touring some of Bethyls most iconic locations! Well the ones we could get to lol. Along with a few other cool filming locations. We wanted to share them with the rest of the Bethyl/TD community. I've been on the team delusional train since that horrific shot rang out across our fandom. My daughter at the time was only 7 and has grown up on the team delusional train so this trip was very special for us! Please enjoy! đ¤đđđ
Side note: This will take up multiple posts as Tumblr will only allow 10 photos per post.
The old Piedmont Newnan Hospital - Grady Memorial Hospital
Unfortunately this was as close as we could get đ˘
The Club at Shoal Creek - The Country Club season 4 episode 12 Still
492 Joe Cox Rd Newnan, GA 30265 - Crossroads where Daryl meets the Claimers after chasing Beth all night đ season 4 episode 13 Alone
26 Magnolia Ln Grantville, GA 30220 (private residence) - The Funeral Home season 4 episode 13 Alone
It's green!! đ This just gave me so much joy lol. This is the location used to film the funeral home, however it is a private residence not an actual funeral home. Be respectful if you ever visit here.
Went to Senoia to see the walking dead locations, very fun & interesting to see this in person after years of watching it on a screen (if only we couldâve been able to go inside AlexandriaâŚ. I did stick my phone in a hole to get some sneaky picsđ¤Ş) & then ate at Nic & Normanâs (phenomenal food 100%đ¤¤)
