Hot take but selfcest is not incest and making such a comparison is disrespectful towards incest victims. However, it CAN be, that's why if you are a writer and you want to write a selfcest story you should be extremely careful about how you do it.
Selfcest can be considered incest if it's a story that involves dating/having sex with a clone since, genetically speaking, a clone is like a sibling. However, if the story is something like the main character falling in love with their doppleganger or the main character falling in love with a version of themselves who comes from an alternative universe that's not incest at all because in this cases there is no way in hell that the DNA would be the same.
As for shippers, if a story involves the main character having a purely siblings-like relationship with their clone/doppleganger/alternative version of themselves and you ship them that's another instance of selfcest being incest cause in this situation the characters canonically see each other only as siblings.
Also, it's totally valid for incest victims to be uncomfortable with the trope of selfcest, but this trope it's not incest unless it involves the things I listed.
Selfcest is supposed to be weird, but it's a trope that should be handled with care.
