The first video is of a cube-shaped robot that uses conservation of momentum created by a spinning disk to balance and move about. A cube seems to me like a weird shape to make a moving robot. But the second video shows how developers are using the same concept to make robots that self-assemble, using the cube shape to stack and create a variety of arrangements.
I believe that self-assembling robots are important in a similar way that self-learning robots are. This is because both attributes allow the robots to be versatile, making them more useful for a larger variety of tasks. These are also qualities of living things.
