It's staggering to see the stark difference in tone and attitude between Horgan and Notley/Trudeau&friends. Horgan remains calm, articulate, reasonable, while the pro-pipeline gang are throwing tantrums and hissyfits. Really not a good look for them, I'm frankly embarrassed

Hi- we're aware that you've been tagging us, however I'm not comfortable reblogging your posts when you're using inaccurate and harmful depictions of Hunk in your promo. Hunk has fat on him, has a round, soft face. None of these features are present in your promo artwork; in fact he looks like Shiro but coloured in like Hunk. I'd like to kindly ask if you could please update your post with an accurate depiction of Hunk. (QuiznakChronicle Mod Pidge)
Dear Sedna,
Our sign ups opened on February 13th, almost a month ago. In that time, weâve received asks from a few different sources.... An anon, and two anti-shippers. You can understand why we did not respond to those asks, especially given that the anon was very rude. Weâre sure you know how hard it is to receive the same asks every time when they seem so ill-intentioned.
However, here is our stance on the art: The art is by a participant, and was offered to us by somebody excited to share their work. Hunk in the art in question is visibly older, a little more built than in canon, but still very much a big person. To call him skinny is blatantly disrespectful and well - incorrect! Could he be fatter? Yes. Is the artist in question constantly working on drawing chub, partially out of love for Hunk - yes. Her statement can be found here: https://caihonghoshi.tumblr.com/post/171739121928/these-are-all-pro-wrestlers-that-i-base-hunks  And we certainly havenât disregarded the asks. Weâve actually gone out of our way to ask people in discords (and especially in the eventâs discord) and whatnot on their opinions and mostly got â...Maybe? If you squint?â So, therefore, we have found the art well within the bounds of good taste and artistic liberty.
My question is, do you approach every event that uses fanart with the same questions? No doubt it could be raised that the Sheith Bouquetâs art seems to show Shiro with eyeliner rather than a monolid, since itâs in a chibi style; or the art for the Allura Reverse Bang seems to have Alluraâs hair be oddly straight or her skin fairly light considering she is a black woman. (To clarify; we donât think either of these are genuine complaints; but it requires about the same amount of stretching youâre currently doing.) Those events have been featured on your blog just fine. In fact, according to your mission statement in your about, and the answer you did on an ask you received some time ago:
This is not an anti-run event. Itâs a ship inclusive event centered on a character - much like the Shiro Big Bang, Lance Flash Bang and Keith Big Bang, all of which have gotten plenty of coverage by QC. Itâs not fair to change rules depending on what events are concerned (or, as we are starting to believe, what moderators are involved.)
This mission statement is entirely at odds with your ask, which comes two days before the end of signups. In fact, this mission statement comes after an earlier debacle where a mod had to contact a QC mod by DM to ask why we hadnât yet been featured, only to be told, completely out of the blue, that we were being punished due to other people asking about it. We were also told by the mod in question that the people asking had all been on anon, which we later discovered was untrue; nearly all of them spoke to us later and said that they had not used anon and had never received private responses, either. Having this occur to us twice - never mind the treatment of one of our mods in several events run by QC mods and their friends - is stretching credibility that this ask is in good faith, especially since lightning never strikes twice in the same place.
IN ADDITION, it hasnât gone unnoticed that while a certain amount of wait time is reasonable for a blog your size, events run by your moderators or the friends of your moderators never seem to run into this problem. Waiting until the final day to instruct us to find new art - to replace art of one of our participants for an issue that wasnât apparently big enough for a moderator to actually mention to us - is manipulative and hypocritical. Either antis are the only ones you exclude, or theyâre not; putting us in an impossible position when we just so happen to be an event that overlaps with one of your adminsâ events is ridiculous.
So no, we will not be changing our art. We have used a diversity of art in our countdown and announcement posts, interspersed with edits. None of them have made Hunk skinny, and to accuse them of doing so is realistically no better than deciding that a 3-6 year age gap is pedophilia. If you would like to continue pretending that this is about fatphobia (even when 3 of the mods deal with fatphobia on a daily basis, with consequences on our health), youâre free to; but I suggest, if you love Hunk so much, letting us continue to promote an event that is one of the only gen-focused, Hunk-centric events in this fandom.
Or you can sink the event, and highly reduce your chances of getting more art of him in the first place since youâve just told every artist out there that theyâre not allowed to even try, and that your blog has now become a chamber of validation of âgoodâ things and not a neutral list of events going on in the fandom. But honestly? Weâre not going to let you.
Hi! Your recent family AU ask got me wondering and I don't think I've seen an answer before but you've said a few times that shiro has his needs and he and keith have their yearly sexy times, but beyond that does shiro like take care of himself alone when he needs to or does he just ignore it and wait for his yearly treat? And if it's the first is keith ever aware of it when shiro does it alone?
đđđđđđ i may have choked on my chocolate milk lmao
[The Voltron Family] Eight years of dating and five years of marriage with Keith, Shiro considered himself a pro at hiding when he needed to take care of his own needs. As much as possible, heâd rather not Keith see it. However, he knew one day the inevitable would eventually happen.Â
There Shiro was, in the bathtub, minding his own businessâquietly as he couldâwhen Keith barged into the bathroom⊠naked.
Keith looked too tired from work, he just went inside their glass showerâcompletely unaware of Shiro in the bathtub beside him. He turned around to close the glass door when he finally noticed what Shiro was doing.
Two pairs of eyes widened in realization, and then in panic.
âA-are youââ Keith stammered, hand still hovering at the handle, his eyes giving Shiro a quick once-over.Â
Shiro nodded so slowly, he could feel his sweat dripping down his face. They just stared at each other, unable to move a single muscle.
âS-someone hasââ
âSomeone has to go, yes!â Shiro quickly interrupted.
Keith gulped, his face turning crimson. âRight, um. That should be me, I guess.â
âYes, it should be you,â Shiro agreed, nodding way too enthusiastically. He just wanted this to be over. It was too embarrassing.
Keith nodded, getting out of the glass shower and grabbing a bathrobe to wrap himself with. As soon as the bathroom door closed, Shiro took a deep breath he didnât know heâd been holding in.
God. What the hell?
âIâm sorry, Takashi,â came Keithâs voice on the other side. âI wasnât aware.â He sounded too guilty and Shiro should be the one who should feel guilty.
âItâs okay, Keith. Donât worry about it.â
âTakashi?â
âYeah?â
âUm⊠uh, have fun?â Keith said with such uncertainty.
Shiro just laughed. âKeith, thatâs really inappropriate!â
oh oh oh!! For 12 days of Christmas how about the shunkeith beekeeper/baker/orchard AU (can we call it the sweet tooth AU cause that seems appropriate) and Hunk getting trapped at the orchard with Shiro and Keith when bad weather closes the country roads, preventing him from getting back to the city :3c
"No state of emergency has been declared yet, but police are advising everyone stay home and off the highways for the next day," the weatherman said, gesturing behind him to the green screened map of the area. Â "Especially everywhere west of 70, where we think will get the highest amount of snow. Â We had some melt today when we briefly went over freezing, and that's already begun hardening back into ice-"
The TV muted suddenly. Â Starting, Hunk turned to frown at Keith. Â "Hey! Â I was listening to that."
"It's the same as it's been since before dinner," Keith replied. Â "Nothing is going to change. Â And even if they did suddenly say everything was fine, you wouldn't feel comfortable driving back this late and in these conditions."
Groaning, Hunk scrubbed over his face. Â "I know," he admitted. Â "I just- Â You know how it is."
"You're better off closing the bakery anyway," Keith continued, settling next to Hunk. Â "You said so yourself. Â There won't be any customers when it's this nasty out."
"We have people who live close enough to walk," Hunk muttered back, but he nodded again. Â He'd spent all of dinner talking himself into a storm over if he should chance driving back home from the orchard. Â Normally, Hunk didn't even like night driving, and the conditions outside were far worse. Â But even if the shop was doing better lately, it was still a blow to have to take days off. Â Lance was salaried, so he wouldn't regret the day off, but Hunk still had to pay rent and he had supplies in the fridge that were going to go back if the power was out, and-
Sighing, Keith soothed a hand up and down Hunk's back. Â "Hey. Â It's okay. Â I promise you, you'll be okay. Â If you want, when it gets better, we'll drive back with you and help with anything you need. Â Alright? Â And you said yourself business has been good. Â One day off won't hurt."
"But what if it's not just one day?" Â Hunk muttered back.
"It's supposed to get up to 40 on Tuesday," Keith reminded. Â "And by then, the plows will have gotten through. Â We don't get multiple snow days in this area, you know that."
It was true, just-
There was no 'just'. Â Hunk was working himself up for nothing. Â He couldn't seem to help it.
So he held out his arms, silently asking. Â
(Read More)
Luckily, Keith had never needed words. Â He slotted himself against Hunk easily, pulling him down so his head rested on Keith's shoulder. Â "You're fine," Keith said. Â "Everything is fine. Â Lance will thank you for the day off, and once everyone comes out of hibernation on Tuesday, they'll all be craving some holiday treats. Â Okay?"
"Okay," Hunk replied. Â He wrapped his arms around Keith's waist, pulling him flush. Â He was warm and solid, surprisingly sturdy and weighty for being so much smaller. Â Like a rock in a rushing river, something to hold onto while he waited out the worst of it. Â "Thank you."
Soft, dry lips pressed against Hunk's cheek. Â "You're welcome. Â More than. Â That's what I'm here for. Â Besides, it's not all bad, right?"
Hunk smiled into Keith's shirt. Â "No, not at all. Â I don't mind getting to spend an extra day with you two. Â How are the hills for sledding, here?"
"They'd be pretty good if we had a sled," Keith replied, laughing softly. Â "Maybe we can improvise something. It'll go easier if you can help me convince Shiro to join in."
Pausing, Hunk picked up his head, lips curled. Â "Shiro's not a snow day guy?"
Keith rolled his eyes hard. Â "You've heard him bitching about the cold, right? Â He spent most of his formative years in LA. Â He acts like cold weather is personally out to get him."
Huh. Â "I heard him complaining about the cold being bad for the bees," Hunk admitted. Â "Not bad for him."
"He's being good for you, probably," Keith replied. Â "I bet that breaks down tonight, with how cold it's getting."
Well, the negatives were nothing to sneeze at. Â Hunk had a lot of sympathy for Shiro's low tolerance. Â He'd grown up on warm beaches, and snow had been a complete novelty the first winter he'd been in the city. Â Since then, it was more of a bother. Â He'd always wanted to enjoy it more, but it was never nice snow downtown. Â Within a couple of hours it was a dirty, speckled, slushy mess. Â Here, though, it was downright picturesque.
At least, it had been when it was light out enough to see. Â Now, not so much.
As if summoned by their conversation, the backdoor opened. Â Shiro stepped through, shaking his head hard to get the snow off his hat. Â He had on several layers, including a thick winter coat and the hoodie he'd yet to give back to Hunk. Â "Brrr. Â Eugh. Â Okay, the hives are all wrapped up. Â That should help them. Â They're all sizable and healthy, so they'd probably be alright."
"Whatever makes you feel better," Keith replied. Â "So you don't run out at 2 AM again, and then shove your freezing feet in bed."
Shiro just grinned and pulled off his gloves. Â "You're so warm, it's your own fault for being such a good heater. Â Officially a no-go on heading back, Hunk?"
Nodding, Hunk picked his head up to watch Shiro undress. Â "Yeah, at least tomorrow. Â We'll see how it is Tuesday. Â I might be able to open for the afternoon."
Once he'd shrugged off his outer gear, Shiro settled on the couch next to Hunk and smoothed up and down his back. Â "I'm sorry you have to keep the bakery closed. Â You alright?"
Hunk smiled back, squeezing Keith tighter. Â "I'm better now."
"Good. Â Keith makes for a very good stuffed animal, don't you, babe?" Â He leaned over and pressed a quick peck to the top of Keith's head.
The flat look Keith shot back made Hunk laugh, pushing away the last dregs of his worry.
Shiro tugged slightly on Hunk's shoulder, until he turned to look at him properly. Â Then he pressed a kiss to Hunk's lips, then under both his eyes, and finally his forehead. Â "You're just fine," he told him, low and warm. Â "And we're glad to keep you here for another day, even if the reason is unfortunate. Â Want hot chocolate?"
Pausing, Hunk considered him. Â "What kind?"
"Uh," Shiro blinked, as if confused by the question. "The kind with the little marshmallows in the packet?"
Hunk shivered. Â "No. Â You still have powdered cocoa from when I made those chocolate muffins?"
Shooting Keith a quick glance, Shiro shrugged. Â "I haven't touched it, so I assume so."
"Good." Â With that, Hunk finally let go of Keith and stood. Â "I'll make hot chocolate."
Shiro's expression fell. Â "I can make it," he offered instantly. Â "You really don't have to, especially when you're the one upset. Â I'll pay attention to it, just give me a few minutes to look up a recipe online, alright?"
Softening, Hunk kissed him back. Â "No, I want to." Â When Shiro opened his mouth again, Hunk put a finger on his lips, stilling him instantly. Â "Seriously. Â I want something else to focus on. Â Hot cocoa will distract me for at least a few minutes. Â Just let me."
"Alright," Shiro allowed, visibly relaxing. Â "We still have another bag of the kettle corn you like, too. Â We can do a quick movie. Â Something holiday, since we're getting all this snow?"
Hunk relaxed further and nodded. Â "Yeah, I'd like that. Â Can I trust you with a bag of microwave popcorn?"
"I'm not that bad!" Â Shiro's bottom lip stuck out in an exaggerated pout. Â "You press the button on the machine, I can handle that."
Laughing, Hunk shook his head and stepped into the kitchen.
He had to admit, Hunk adored the set up here. Â It might not have all of Hunk's equipment, and the appliances were nearly two decades old. Â But everything in here was solid and a little old fashioned, built to withstand the ages. Â Everything was made out of warm woods, scratched and dented and well-loved.
Smoothing his hand over the counter, Hunk started to open cabinets to pull out the right supplies, as he began to heat up the milk.
Just by the door, he heard Keith let out a yelp. Â "Shiro!"
"What?"
"Your hand is freezing. Â Both of them, but literally for one of them."
There was a long pause. "Oh, right." Â The clatter of Shiro removing his prosthetic was almost soothing. Â It was like hearing someone brush their teeth from the bedroom. Â Comfortingly domestic, in a slightly intimate way. Â "Better?"
"Still cold, but better."
Shiro wandered into the kitchen next. Â Hunk's hoodie gaped loosely on his right side, and he gave a tiny wave with the stump. Â At first, he'd been self-conscious of it, but there was only so many times they could sleep in the same bed without it before it became too normal. Â With practiced ease, he moved to the pantry and ripped the popcorn packaging open with his teeth. Â Then he tossed it into the microwave and it the popcorn setting. Â "Ta-da."
Brows up, Hunk smiled. "Don't congratulate yourself yet. Â It hasn't cooked yet, it can still burn."
"That was only once." Â Despite his playful complaining, Shiro plastered himself to Hunk's back, hooking his chin over a shoulder to watch. Â "The cocoa powder stuff is what's in the packets we have?"
"And a lot of sugar," Hunk replied. Â "It's better when you can add a little dark chocolate. Â I'll bring some next time. Â For now, a dash of vanilla and a little nutmeg will do."
Humming, Shiro pressed his nose into Hunk's neck. Â There was still a chill to his skin from being outside too long. Â "Sounds good to me," Shiro replied. Â He didn't move.
Hunk smiled at his pot. Â "Are you only here because I'm warm and Keith is complaining?"
"No," Shiro replied, drawing the word out. Â "Keith complaining doesn't stop me. Â I pick you because I want to snuggle you." Â He paused. Â "And the oven is warm."
"There it is."
"But mostly because I love you."
Hunk smiled softly, the words churning warmly in his stomach as if he'd already chugged the hot chocolate. Â "I love you too."
Shiro pressed a kiss to Hunk's jaw. Â "Good. Â 'Cause coming all the way out here just for sex would be a lot of work on your part."
"I don't just do it for sex," Hunk shot back. Â "I also do it for your honey."
Letting out a bark of laughter, Shiro pressed their cheeks together. Â "I bet you do. Â You want some sugar."
Hunk grinned, turning around to kiss him properly. Â "Oh, that's a pretty good one!"
"It's not bad, yeah." Â Shiro beamed at him, eyes warm and molten. Â But the shrill alarm of the microwave made him jump. Â "Oh, right. Â That." Â He wandered over and pulled it out of the microwave, holding it so the steam could vent. Â "If I open the paper part with my teeth, will you be grossed out?"
"I'm a chef, so no. Â I taste from the spoon I cook with, sometimes."
Shiro paused. Â "You do? Â That's kind of gross." Â He considered. Â "Does that mean we're technically kissing when I eat your food?"
Shrugging, Hunk turned back to the hot chocolate. Â "I suppose so. Â Does this mean you never taste anything you're cooking? Â That explains too much."
Making a soft, wounded noise, Shiro put down the bag so he could get out a bowl, then took hold of one tab with his teeth to yank it open. Â "You're very mean. Â You seem all nice and sweet but you're secretly ruthless."
Hunk smiled back. Â "That's me. Â What movie did you guys pick out?"
"Uh-" Â Shiro perked, eyes bright. Â "Actually, you can help with that. Â We've been arguing about this all week. Â The Grinch - class animated version or the terrible Jim Carrey abomination?"
"I suspect this question wording might be biased."
Shiro stuck his nose in the air. Â "My polling is all completely fact based. Â I don't ask leading questions, just make sure you have full knowledge going in."
Considering him, Hunk tapped his finger on the counter. Â "Live action. Â Just because you're trying to push me."
Hunk laughed, openly amused at them both. Â With a last check of the cocoa, he poured some into three mugs, and let the rest stay in the pot on the stove. Â If they needed more, they could warm it back up. Â "Ready?"
"Yeah, ready." Â Shiro held up the popcorn as proof. Â
Settling in on the couch, with Keith pressed smug and warm in one side, and Shiro a playfully sulking teddy bear on the other, Hunk settled in.
Between the two of them, he really didn't need the hot cocoa to stay warm.
(But that didn't mean he wasn't going to drink it.)

Congrats on the milestone!! For a prompt how about something silly like pidge taking shiro on an exploration of the castle's ventilation system for some reason except shiro gets stuck cause he's so much bigger
âIn my defense, you really did fit through most of the vents, just like I said you would.â
âYes, but Iâm stuck now.â Shiro knew he sounded whiny. He didnât care. He wiggled his body as much as he could, but his shoulders were still jammed firmly into what was supposed to be an opening. Well, it didnât count as an opening if it wasnât open, which it wasnât, because Shiro was jammed into it like a cork in a bottle.
Yeah, even his thoughts were whiny.
Pidgeâs face contorted as she struggled not to laugh. She had flipped herself to face backward in the passage ahead and was tugging on Shiroâs shoulders, trying to free him while he pushed with his legs from behind. It wasnât working. She didnât have the right leverage, and with his arms trapped at his sides, he couldnât get any kind of momentum.
They struggled for a few moments, grunting with effort, then both gave up at the same moment, going limp. The vent was getting too hot with both of them in there. And with Shiro blocking the passage of air.
âI could get Coran,â Pidge offered again. She had first suggested that option ten minutes ago, when Shiro had thought he might still have a chance to get out on his own. Now, he wasnât so sure.
âDoes it have to be Coran?â Shiro asked, weary just at the thought. âHeâll be all...cheerful about it. And heâll pat my head and call me âlittle paladin,â the way he does every time I get myself in trouble. I hate that.â
Pidge chewed her lip, but the corners of her mouth still curled in an irrepressible smile. âThe only other option would be Hunk, and he would get even more stuck than you.â
Shiro blew out a huge, enormous sigh and gave up. âFine,â he grumbled. âGet Coran.â
Quiznak, he was never gonna live this down. He was never going to let Pidge talk him into helping her with a prank on Keith and Lance again.

I'm late but if you're still up for it how about hance and one of them rendered temporarily blind
Ahhhhh Sedna this is such a neat idea. You are not too late to the party, welcome, I am trying to get back into writing properly.Â
âListen, Iâm walking blind here so describing the scenery wouldbe stellar,â Lance said, grippingtight to Hunkâs hand. Each step was treacherous, a swooping uncertainty thatbubbled in Lanceâs stomach and left him jittery. But Hunkâs hand was warm, histouch sure. Lance trusted him unconditionally. Just â well, he wasnât used tothe whole blindness thing yet.
Hunk drew them to a halt, one hand on Lanceâs waist while theother still wrapped around his hand. âWeâre just at the edge of the balconynow. Wanna try the other senses thing?â
Lance shrugged. âI donât have anything better to do, sosure.â
The blindness was temporary, thankfully, but was part of thewhole trade-off for the alliance. The Ptisi required the five senses in order toperform a cleansing ritual for their planet. The loss of a sense had to beoffered willingly and, once completed, the alliance could be formed. Thankfullyit wasnât just Lance left without a vital sense: Hunk had lost his sense oftaste; Shiro had given away touch. Pidge had given up hearing and Keith had offeredup smell. Lance had been left with sight and, as heâd pointed out multiple times, a sharpshooter losinghis sight was not just horrifying but wrong, thank you very much. Hunkâs assurance had helped.
The neat perks that came with temporarily losing a singlesense helped cement the rest.
Tightening his hold on Hunk, Lance breathed out and focusedon his other senses. The expansion of his other senses took a bit to get used to but he managed. He could pick up the quiet rattle of the kitchen staff onthe bottom floor, Keith and Shiro discussing the strange garden theyâd wanderedinto, and the tip-tap of Pidgeâs tablet as she typed. Allura and Coran were tuckedfurther into the castle, talking with the ruler of the Ptisi and xir DivineOne. Reeling in that sense, Lance flung out another. The scents that flooded himwere exotic and varied wildly from pleasant to repulsive. He quickly nixed thatone. Taste didnât do much except make him hyper aware of the spices Hunk hadused in their breakfast this morning.
Touch was horrifying.
The calluses on Hunkâs hands were far more pronounced, wellworn and remade from years fiddling and tinkering with machinery. The finehairs on his thumb prickled against Lanceâs touch. The cotton of Lanceâs shirtrubbed harsh against his skin, made worse by the hold Hunk had on him. Each pointof contact was magnified ten times, one hundred times, a thousand times. When Lancefinally managed to yank himself back on task, he was gasping, shivering fromthe sensation, and scrambled at his jacket until it fell to the floor.
âHey, whoa, hey. Lance,â Hunk called, his palms cradlingLanceâs cheeks. Lance clung to him, sucking in a sharp breath as a full shudderwracked his body. That had been the worst.Hunk called his name again, a worried lilt to the end of Lanceâs name, andLance swallowed hard.
âIâm okay. Donât try touch though, just donât. That shit is horrible.â Â
Hunk laughed, dipping his forehead against Lanceâs. Lancebreathed out again, tentatively increasing his hearing so he could pick up onHunkâs heartbeat. It soothed the still crawling tingle that prickled Lanceâsskin. Smiling, Lance closed his eyes, trading darkness for darkness, and relaxed. Normal touch was fine for him, thanks. Hunkâs touch was better anyway.Â
while looking for those @sednamode screenshots I found this one from 20/1 right after S2 dropped and tbh the joy I felt that day was one I hadnât felt in a long time and sometimes I take S2 for granted but like. We got so much, Iâm so glad, Iâm so thankful, Iâm so blessed
