Hay amores pasajeros que llueven y se van, y jamás retornan a tu vida, nunca vuelven a pisar en donde tú te quedaste cuando marcharon. Quedas triste, con el alma llorando, con el corazón quebrado y la cabeza perdida, dirigida hacia donde él se fue, aunque sabes que en su viaje no le importa si te quedaste llorando. Hay amores así que no valen el boleto que quieres pagar para ir hasta donde se fueron. Y es que ahí también, están de paso.

Well, in the past few days, things have reached a new terrifying point.

Last sunday, the municipal elections were suspended. This because of a failure with voting machines that had failed and failed again in past primaries and elections. This time, they failed to show candidates from the oposition, sometimes only displaying the candidare of the PLD, the currently ruling party.

As they were suspended, costing the DR millions of dollars in the process, which could have been used for our growing incidence of teenage pregnancies, as an example, people started to ask for the members of the Central Electoral Board to resign and to hold elections without voting machines, all analog.

Here's all that has been spent on the elections as of now.

Anyways, for a change, people hace started to take to the streets, yesterday being the most massive of all protests, in front of the Central Electoral Board's offices, asking for its members to resign, all peacefuly. Instead, protestors were greeted with tear gas.

This is unacceptable. This, coupled with a politician threatening us by telling us that they know who we voted for, is some next level buffoonery from the purple party. They've been reigning supreme for several years, making themselves richer and they know no one fucking likes them, so they're afraid. They threaten their employees who do not vote for them with firing, they threaten to take away food stamps, and they threaten us with violence.

That's fucking enough, I refuse to bow down to these assholes any more. The whole world needs to know this.

So please, I am begging you to boost this, they benefit from painting the DR as this paradise island and not the corrupted cesspool it actually is. They benefit from the fact that no one outside of the DR knows what's going on.

Today is a beautiful day in Dominican history. Today, the country held federal elections after it being postponed for months due to the virus and previous attempts of voter fraud and suppression by the evil Dominican Liberation Party (PLD) that have been in power since 2004.

President Danilo Medina has been nothing but a brutal dictator during his 8 year presidency and his party has done nothing but murder and steal from hardworking working class Dominicans. The country and the people have become poorer while those in power have become richer.

Today, my people said no and we can finally say "se fuen" (they left) instead of "se van" (they're leaving). My family and I are literally crying tears of joy because our people are finally free from the PLD party and we can only hope that the incoming president Luis Abinader and the PRM party will be better than Danilo Medina and the PLD party
