SDCC Art Show Online
Guys, gals, and non-binary pals, as you probably already have heard, SDCC is doing an online show this year due to the pandemic. This means panels, interviews, etc. are all going to be hosted online. This ALSO means that the art show will also be online, and it’s being hosted right here on Tumblr.
Now, due to some unexplained reasoning, the account which they will be using to reblog all of the artists’ art (my own included), is not going to be active until the day the convention would actually be opening (July 22). I do not understand this, as it means no one can follow them in preparation, but that is the decision they’ve made.
So, what I am begging asking you all to do, is be prepared to reblog the heck out of any posts you see that are tagged #ComicConAtHomeArtShow because all of the artists taking part are not likely to get as many eyes on them as they would at the show. We’re all cross-posting and trying to drum up attention, but since the account literally does not exist right now and therefore cannot be followed, it’s kind of difficult to get people prepared in advance.
We’re all having a rough year. Shows are going to be non-existent for the foreseeable future; sales have been lagging. If at all possible, please, please, please for the love of artists, reblog the art show posts. (And go buy our stuff.) (And when it’s finally active, you can follow @ComicConAtHome for all the SDCC related stuff.)
