Made some model sheets
Do you have any strong opinions on traditional uniforms vs more "costume" ones because I know a lot of people do
ohhh boy you've given me an excuse to ramble and I will Take it.
I'd say I fall more on the traditionalist/purist side when it comes to uniforms but I'm not quite a hardcore uniform purist. I don't have anything against show-specific uniforms like some people do but they're just too flat these days in my opinion. I'm strongly against printed details on a uniform that could be adding dimensionality if they were sewed on.
I really dislike how flat the Bluecoats' uniforms are this year (left image) and I think that SCV (right image) did a really good job with dimensionality and textural variety this year.
I don't care as much about the shaping of the uniform, if it's more form fitting and not traditional bibbers and jacket/coat, as long as it's not this flat.
I do really miss shakos though. I feel like the plume just adds so much potential for visuals and the marchers' hair being hidden does a Lot for uniformity. and even the hollow shakos like Boston had for White Whale last year! I wasn't a fan when I first saw them but it's still so much better than a bare head of hair.
and I really like when a corps has year to year consistent design elements in their uniforms, which I feel like the Blue Devils and the Cavaliers do really well. I would be able to look at a Cavaliers or Blue Devils uniform from any year after "modern" show-specific uniforms started gaining traction and tell you it was them even if I had never seen the show. that's what I like, being able to recognize a corps by their uniforms and feeling like there's an identity to the uniform past just the year that it's made for. and I suppose shakos help with that too, to unify all the corps visually, when some have more traditional uniforms like Phantom Regiment and some have more modern ones like the Bluecoats. if they all have shakos of some sort it's easier to recognize that they're all part of the same activity.
okay uniform rant over haha

pyrrha/tira + 28 for the kiss prompt 🥺
Fandom: Soul Calibur V Ship: Pyrrha/Tira Kiss Prompt: 28 (...as a lie)

"Look at him," Gloomy snarls at Patroklos as he runs away, "fleeing at the sight of you." Tira struts behind Pyrrha, who was on her knees, the glower of the assassin's more vicious half burning with disgust. "You show him what you truly are, and only ask for his brotherly love in return for your honesty-" she spits on the ground at her feet- "and he throws it all in your face. What kind of family does that?"
Pyrrha looks down at her mutated claw, all chitinous hide and steel-hard claws and bony spikes. "He... he just wasn't ready yet, he-" she mumbles, interrupted by a hiccup. She looks up at Tira, the golden light of her eyes shining so brightly as though attempting to hide the utter lack of hope behind them. "He just needs time, right?"
Tira shakes her head disappointedly. "Afraid not. With a reaction like that? You're not even his sister anymore, so far as he cares. So far as he'll ever care." Pyrrha silently weeps into her human hand.
There is a certain spring in Tira's step as she prances over to where Pyrrha was knelt, and she flops cheerily onto her rear next to Pyrrha before crisscrossing her legs. "But don't worry!" Jolly says, her lavender eyes widening. "We'll never leave you! You'll always have us to help!" She throws her arms around Pyrrha's middle, hugging the younger woman warmly like a child who was just gifted an adorable puppy.
Tira stays there, her hug staying tight until she feels Pyrrha's crying stop. "There, there," she coos, patting Pyrrha on the shoulder. "Feeling any better?"
"A... a little..."
"Good."
Expertly, Tira spins around and arcs one leg over, putting herself in Pyrrha's lap. "You can count on us to always be there for you, especially when some meanie thinks you're just a miserable, nasty malfested out to get them!" she declares, her nose almost touching Pyrrha's. "We love you, Pyrrha! Got that?"
Pyrrha blushes, and Tira comically hides half of her face with her hand, as though telling a secret that she needs an audience to hear, and says, "Even Gloomy loves you, although she's not very good at showing it."
Pyrrha finds herself almost needing to stifle a giggle; scary as she was, Tira could always brighten things up when Jolly was around. Placing her gloved hand into Pyrrha's monstrous palm, Tira can feel the hellfire within simmering so hotly that if she left it there for too long, it would burn her through her own gloves. "...Promise?" Pyrrha asks, this time with genuine hope in her eyes.
"We love you for who you are, no more, no less," Jolly chirps, "and that's more than you can say for anyone else. You've only got us, and we'll make sure that we're the only ones you need."
Leaning in, Tira gently places her lips upon Pyrrha's, feeling Pyrrha shudder at such intimate contact. 'Tira is right, isn't she?' Pyrrha thinks to herself. 'No one else who knows me could ever accept... this, whatever it is I've become.'
Pyrrha pushes her mouth harder against Tira's, parting her lips slightly to let her tongue ask permission, which Tira's mouth eagerly grants.
'Only Tira loves me.'
Voldo listening to Vercci like
