SCRNS - ‘Lavender’ early iteration
Lawnmall, 2015
Minneapolis-based producer SCRNS just released a three track EP of nostalgic, glittering electronica entitled Lavender. While both “Peach” and “Sticky” are absolutely worth your time, the eponymous “Lavender” takes the cake with its hushed romance and heartfelt R&B vibe.
Listen When: you’re feeling lonely and beautiful.

CHILLCITY [trap/electronic]
SCRNS is a Minneapolis producer who’s rather new to the music scene. He specializes in experimental electronic instrumentals, and this particular track, featuring Ethan Evoniuk, hopes to capture the emotions behind love and lust. All in all, this, and the rest of the songs on his Lavender EP are very pretty sounding, almost tender, yet the strong 808s in the background as well as the fast tempo add some real backbone to the song. The whole thing is an electronic symphony of feelings, and I highly recommend checking his other stuff out as well.
