Question for people who use screen readers or text to speech/audio
When a post on here has lots of emojis, special fonts/text or lots of keysmashes, what is a way to tag those posts so that you guys don't have to sit there listening to nonsense for a minute straight?

crazy how common it is for people on here to use their neurodivergency as an excuse to be inaccessible or downright ableist. i dont care if youre "uncomfortable" with not using a typing quirk, i can't fucking read your messages. i don't care if you're somehow "unable to turn it off", i can't fucking read your messages. i don't care if tour typing quirk "soothes your brain", i. can't. fucking. read. your. messages.
if you use typing quirks and don't translate, for any reason at all, don't fucking interact with me. or any blind person for that matter. thanks.

Screen reader users please give me screen reader recommendations for iPhones and windows computers (not the iPhone built in screen reader please I had a complete meltdown over it changing my phone controls too much but I also don’t know if the control change is avoidable)
It’s a lot easier on me to use one rather than attempting and failing to read something myself over and over again but I’m lost on finding one’s to use
I've seen a lot of people talk about this so I'm going to add my opinion:
Having a stylized intro post/bio is not inherently ableist.
I want to be very clear that this is my opinion and I am not forcing anyone to agree with me.
I may have worded that poorly, so to specify I am talking about those intro posts or bios that have special characters that don't work on screen-readers because they look pretty.
I personally think that it's just self expression, which is something that everyone should have the right to. I frequently use a screen-reader and find those posts annoying because they make my screen-reader fully stop, but that's only because people don't usually tag them. By not tagging those posts with "not screen reader friendly" you are being ableist, it's okay if you didn't know but you should still fix it. It is also ableist to not tag post that have keyboard smashes in them with "not screen reader friendly" as those also mess with them.
This was honestly more of a rant than an informative thing (I think, the line between those two things is sorta blurry on this website) but anyone can still reblog
Don't you love it when you make a post about how annoying it is when people's ways of censoring things or typing quirks stops your screen-reader and someone uses a typing quirk when replying to that post
