February is almost here!
Which means the first ever Scribuary will be starting soon!
The rules are simple:
Each prompt will last for 3 days, and these individual prompts will be posted as the month rolls along.
The writing can be anything! Short stories, poetry, song lyrics, text posts, etc.
There will be a total of 9 prompts, filling up 27 days of February!
As for the 28th, it is to simply reflect upon your work and celebrate a month of writing.~
Tag your work under #scribuary and @ our blog so we may see it!!
I am also providing a preliminary list of all the Scribuary prompts below!
[2/1–2/3] Choose a famous historical photo or work of art and write your own interpretations or fictionalized story based on the picture or painting.
[2/4–2/6] Describe your favorite color without saying or showing what it is.
[2/7–2/9] Acrostic writing For poetry, the first letter of each line spells out a word. For prose, where the first word of each paragraph spells out a message.
[2/10–2/12] Write from the perspective of a villain.
[2/13–2/15] Write something based around a flower/plant and its meaning(s).
[2/16–2/18] Write a piece based on your Zodiac sign (Chinese or astrology).
[2/19–2/21] Write from the perspective of an inanimate object.
[2/22–2/24] Write a character or about a particular group that has some form of illness. Either mental or physical. Focus on the struggles they deal with in their daily life and show ways that they might overcome these obstacles.
[2/25–2/27] Write about your favorite mythical animal(s) and whether or not they'd be safe as pets.
[2/28] Celebrate! Tell us what prompt you enjoyed most, and what prompt was the biggest challenge. Be proud of the work you accomplished!
