I value the chance to celebrate and share all forms of love, not just romantic or sexual love, and its many shapes and forms and complexities that our human souls may experience it with. While I lack romantic or sexual attraction toward anyone, that will NEVER stop me from having such a powerful love for my friends, my family, my cat, my home, my queerplatonic partner, and (slowly but surely, getting better I think) myself. And this can go for anyone who feels comfortable doing so too, even if the thought of romance repulses you, if you often spend this holiday alone, or you don't have many feelings of love to share for others in general. A lack of attraction toward other humans in general is not psychopathic, it's a uniqueness that deserves to be recognizes as just as special as the strongest romantic or platonic loves, even on a day like this. It's a day worth celebrating any and all love, aspec or not, felt toward others or yourself, done within company or on your own. And I hope to continue shouting this message to the masses every year for as long as it may take to become more widely understood and accepted — though perhaps that's too romantic of a thought for someone like me HEHE 💞

And now for the most personal part of all my yappings, I always get excited to take this chance to gush all about my BELOVED partner @tarandrus-nova!!! It'll still always blow my mind how we just sorta stumbled into each others lives by happenstance, decided that this felt right for our different flavours of queerness, and we've already reached our 3rd Valentines Day together this year!! We're weird and different and absolute saps together and we're not romantic but not platonic either, and I take a lot of pride in confusing some of the people around us LOL 😎

This past year was incredibly special for us for many reasons, but most of all was getting to see him and feel his warmth for the first time ever without a screen between us!! I spent the best week of my life with him, and later this year will be what I'm confident is the best month of my life when I can be by his side once again <333 Rubin, you so flawlessly make me feel loved and supported and comforted and safe every single day, and I love having quiet moments together just as much as I love our moments of loud/excited laughter or celebration!! Waking up by your side, both through a screen or face to face, feels so natural and perfect, and gives me an experience that I once never thought I would get to share with another person, but now I can't possibly imagine having it with anyone but you. I admire you so much in ways I can't even describe — your compassion, your creativity, your humour, your dreams, your honesty and understanding, your gentle care, your many talents, your way with words and writing and expression... I see and adore all of it. All of you.

So thank you, on top of everything else you already bring into my everyday life, for being my person and my safe space and my non-romantic non-platonic Valentine for a third year in a row!! 🥹🥰 I'm so so lucky to have you in my life, I'm so excited to see where life will continue to take us and how many wonderful memories we'll get to keep making together, and I'll look forward to writing a fourth one of these next year LMAO <333

To anyone who's read this far,, sorry it still turned out to be a pretty long one hahaha 💔 Thank you for indulging in my utter aromantic sappiness, and I hope you all can find something to enjoy in this Valentines Day, no matter if it's by yourself or with another!!
