Even though it sucks I can at least understand why people in power would deny it exists because they're either being paid to push that lie or have their own vested interests in the fossil fuel industry, but I just can't understand why your regular joe schmo keeps denying what's happening.

I guess I get it if it's your livelihood, but how do you explain like the boomers who are retired and don't rely on the industry surviving in order to feed themselves.

And it's mostly conservative voters which is made up of like farmers and old people that don't like immigrants so you'd think they'd be all about solving climate change because it directly impacts the things they care about.

Literally voting for the party whose policies will cause more droughts and increase the number of people coming to the country like hello???

I hate to come to this conclusion but I think some people are just genuinely stupid like they legit think that we're gonna turn off the sun and take away their cars or something.

The Manbearpig two parter of South Park is really good but it's also very depressing how well the ending has aged.
