Before I begin my ted talk, there is always hope and there is much more to compatibility than just the sun signs. HOWEVER…these two signs are very incompatible (generally). Cancers require deep emotional and intimate connections with their partners. Aquarii tend to flee at the second anything seems too serious or like its gonna involve emotional intensity. Air signs prefer verbal communication and and instead of thinking with the “heart” like a water sign they think with the “head”, so that might cause friction in the relationship. Cancer would feel forgotten, unloved, and attention starved with an Aquarius. Aquarius would also feel trapped or overwhelmed with Cancer’s needs. Cancer is also sensitive and I haven’t met an Aquarius that didn’t tell it how it was and that could sometimes hurt Cancer. There would be miscommunication, and for a pair like this to work there would have to be open honest communication. It would take a lot of work but I’m also sure there are plenty happy Aquarius and Cancer couples. You might also have other compatible placements so don’t let this get you down too much :)

I think its all personal preference, if you aren’t a very emotional or “dramatic” person then a Cancer can be very draining and overwhelming to have around. People who can tolerate or don’t mind sensitivity would do better around them.

(hey my bad I didnt finish on your 2 part). One of the worst things you could probably do is doubt the sincerity of a Scorpio.  Especially when they have a venus in the same placement. It takes a lot for them to become open and vulnerable to people they’re close to, it sort of makes them feel like they put in so much work only to be doubted (though I understand where you were possibly coming from). He probably had strong feelings for you and felt hurt that he “wasted” his emotional energy (in his eyes). Personally if he hasn’t already attempted to rekindle anything, I would move on as even if you two do make up it wont be the same again. 

If it ended badly and he tends to act like you dont exist he might just be smiling to be polite. Scorpios tend to not forgive, his pisces moon would be your source of hope as they tend to be more forgiving, though I dont see a Scorpio/cap combination to put themselves back into something that didnt work out the first time. If its been that long I wouldn’t hype yourself up about it as you might be better off looking out for someone else.
