hello! i have a question, so my 8th house is in pisces and 9th in aries and i was checking a synastry chart with someone who has aries in their sun/mercury/venus which means theyāre in synastry with my 9th
but when i check in the astro.com / astroseek websites it says theyāre all in my 8th
how is that? iām very confused š
Is it possible that when pulling up the synastry charts youāre using a different house system than usual? I know the default for most programs is placidus and this sounds like an accidental switch between placidus and whole sign. Either that or you accidentally clicked sidereal zodiac instead of tropical?
Hi, 9th and 12th parts anon here!
It's thing on its own, not houses or places. Every signs get divided by 9 and/or 12, every part gets assigned a zodiac sign. It's also called Novenaria/Navamsa/D9 and Dodecatemoria/Dwadasamsa/D12.
On astroseek you can enable it in the extended settings when calculating a traditional birth chart.
Ohhhhh! So Iām a traditional/hellenic astrologer. You need someone who does Vedic astrology to answer this.
I feel like I saw someone on here making blaseball but horses? Or learning how to code something for it
I might also want to do that but I feel like itās one of those projects that I would never actually follow through with finishing. Plus I donāt know barely anything about coding. I have Ideas though
Hi, I love your blog! I have a question if you don't mind. What do you think about the 9th and 12th parts in astrology? It is useful?
Thank you!
Iām unclear on exactly what youāre asking⦠when you say āpartsā are you referring to the āplacesā or āhousesā?
And what do you mean when you say āusefulā? Useful in what way?
If you are referring to the places/houses, then they are all useful in the way that every single house (even when empty) provides necessary details into the natives life.

thank you for that post honestly. I'm so sick of people reducing the lack of diversity in HC as an issue to be fixed with a numbered list instead of a symptom of a bunch of different issue mcyt/content creatin spaces in general have. Like, the thing that is concerning about it is that a lot of these creators aren't engaging with many minorities, but it's pretty clear that it's not because they don't want to. The conversation should be about how difficult it still is in these spaces for poc and other minorities to get a foot in the door. It's no coincidence that the more diverse popular SMP was dream smp, an smp created specifically to uplift smaller creators(not saying it achieved that goal for most players from marginalized groups, that's besides the point here).
You can see the diversity absolutely skyrocket once you get to the lower ends of subscribers count and it honestly breaks my heart, but this isn't something that can be solved with making one popular server more diverse.
As you mentioned, the issue HAS gotten better and HC being so behind on diversity comes from it being so old and it being basically a friendgroup, but I think our priority should be uplifting smaller content creators and not letting women and minorities be thrown to the wayside in fandom when they ARE there.
Anyways sorry for the rant<3 I'll go now<3
literally exactly
i wouldnt mind a list of marginalized creators with a similar vibe / who would fit into HC as a like.. recommendation list of who to branch put toward and check out, instead of as a list of who the hermits should add. ideally more info is given about them as a cc and they arent just reduced to identity so viewers themselves arent just trying to fill a quota, but i agree the current delivery of those lists of ccs does feel weird bc if the framing and the focus given
Yeah 100%, itās always cool to shout out under-appreciated ccs but it gives me the ick a little when itās framed from a ānew hermit šā perspective. Makes it feel like itās more about absolving the current hermits of not being diverse enough or whatever instead of actually appreciating the cc in question
maybe post it but turn off reblogs?
I want people to be able to tell me if Iām being weird though š
