Idk if i already said this, I feel like a broken record at this point, but I would have REALLY liked it if my university gave us the option to take a semester off (cause.. pandemic). Put everything on pause? The ppl who are super close and really wanna hurry up and finish, sure go ahead. But the incoming freshmen who are gonna lose their scholarship if they don't go straight after highschool? The ppl already in it who would lose their scholarship for sitting out a semester? I wish they had given us the option to sit out with no harm done to financial aid, just a /pause/ button. We'd come back. Probably. Idk how this would affect the professors... Haven't thought that far, this is a pipe dream... This semester has sucked the worst of any semester so far. Every semester so far has had some point where it got very hard to keep up with, and it sucked. This semester has been that way the entire time. Online classes are really hard for me personally... I know a lot of people love them - I can't learn well in an online class. I don't know how things are gonna go. Had problems this semester that are GOING to affect future semesters. It's. It's a lot. And then if next semester is the same... I hadn't really thought that far. I figured it'd be back to normal by then. The university is preparing for in person classes. But they can't help it if we get too bad again and they have to shut down? If it's all online again I can see it being just as bad as this semester? I wish they'd let us take a pause with no repercussions...
I tell myself that I work better under pressure, but come to think of it, I've never not been under pressure.
sleep n' stuff
okay so essentially I have no idea what to do with my sleep schedule because I get so much homework that I only get an hour or two free a day but that's really not enough so I end up staying up and most of the time when I stay up I'm up until like 3 which is not a good thing for school but at the same time school is stressing me out and I can't sleep anyway but I'm so fucking tired all the time no matter what I do fuck i hate my life

Update to this crazy few weeks.
Two essays done, two to go. Now onto the next two:
Feminist philosophy. Due today at 5:00. Haven't started. BUT WAIT! Last week our professor specifically told us that she would be collecting our essays from the department drop box tomorrow morning, and all of the essays handed in would be date stamped as the day before. So I am starting an finishing this today. I have my topic, I have a rough outline... now to actually write this thing and sound coherent.
Policies for children and youth: due Wednesday at 4:00. Submitted online. This basically give me one and a half days after I hand in the philosophy essay. No problem. Bring it.
My assignments in philosophy have been marked by my TA up until now. My professor is marking all of them, and from what I heard from the people in her seminar, she marks hard. But I'm okay with that as long as she marks fair. Fair is good. I think as long as I go deep enough I'll be fine.
And I (miraculously) have an 80% in the course, so even if I tank this I'll make the required average.
