YOU HAVE TO LET GO

YOU HAVE TO LET GO
As Taylor Swift says- “you gotta step into the daylight and let it go, just let it go”, I couldn’t agree more. There are times we lose the opportunity- the chance to become someone, to express the way we feel, to give everything we can, and to finally reach the stars. We often fuck up things. Our plans don’t always work out the way we wanted it to be. People don’t return the love we give, or at least the level of love we give them. It’s like life is always in percentage, and that percentage will determine the level of respect people ought to give you. You can crush the entire world, fill your heart with regret, misery, and vexation for the way things went, but at the end of the day, you have to let go. It’s certainly not always easy for people to just move on and let go of things, it has never been like that. But letting go is a process. It’s not about forgetting what happened, it’s about remembering what happened. We move on together with what we are trying to move on to. It’s like enduring the pain, you cannot let go of it easily because it’ll just cause a burning wound. Now, we’re not trying to remove the wound itself, but we’re trying to ease the pain by removing the burning sensation and leave a scar. We learn from what we are trying to let go of, we fix our values, align them into the next step into our journey, and move on. We don’t say that we’re all just getting used to shit that’s why it feels like it’s all getting better. Getting used to things is numbing ourselves from the truth, and that doesn’t fix anything. We need to understand that people won’t fully understand us, and we won’t fully understand them either, not even ourselves actually, and it’s okay. No matter how hard we try, we cannot get everything we wanted, we cannot raise our expectations, not only it gives us a matter of hope, which is good, the downside is it brings us disappointment. Do not be afraid to let go, be afraid of holding it in. We need to get over with this self-loathing thing. Loathing ourselves won’t help with anything. We need to accept whatever we feel, good or bad, for it is what builds us to be ourselves. Acceptance is the main goal of the process of letting go. We need to accept that we cannot control what happens in our lives, nor the people that come into our lives, but we can control how we react to them. So, ask yourself today- hold it in or finally let go?
