okay so i might post more of these in the future because ive had a random motivation boost in my writing progress for upshift

the trophy of atychiphobia is the highest award bestowed upon the team/duo who have accumulated the most points at the end of a disclaimer league season

the Disclaimer League is a highly illegal street racing league, think of F1 but with illegal street racing and supercars instead of the open wheel racecars on racetracks and instead of Max Verstappen you got some random dumbass called Nitrous von Superfast or something

atychiphobia is the fear of failure; canonically, the trophy was given this name because it was awarded to those who feared failure and avoided it; from my writer's standpoint, it was named after the MVP theme of subspace from the roblox game phighting (many things in upshift are named after songs so thats cool)

okay i think that's all i have to say

as you may have inferred from my art style of my drawings of upshift's characters, the entire thing is based on roblox because it's planned that, in the case upshift EVER gets a show, it's gonna be animated on roblox studio. its gonna be a genuine NIGHTMARE to get merch but that's the least of my worries

anyways due to upshift ultimately being a roblox-based work of fiction, that means i am, alongside other creators of roblox-based media, obliged to have references and reinterpretations of roblox's urban myths, legends, history, and uh... lore or whatever you call it (is this /s or /j? idk)

The Heights (SFOTH)

the heights was an airborne medieval sword fighting arena that hosted tournaments and duels and battle royales and whatnot. later in the late 90s, it became the backbone for the first and only airborne racetrack in the world. it hosts the 4 Hour Sportscar Fray On The Heights (SFOTH 4hr which is a reference to the latest version of SFOTH being SFOTH IV) and fencing competitions or something, serving as a dual sports complex

c00lkidd Motors (team c00lkidd)

c00lkidd Motors is a tuning company and motorsport team famous for inventing the c00lgui, a revolutionary in-house-developed program that can easily modify the ECU and electronics of a car to presets and specific tunes, skipping over repetitive trial-and-error approaches, on top of the ability to adjust a car's setup on the fly. they were once a cyberterrorist group that even burnt down a branch of Builder Brothers' Pizza, and blasted "spooky scary skeletons" over the speakers of the cities that were at their mercy throughout 2014-2016, before the leader, 007n7, real name classified, was arrested. shortly after his release, he restarted c00lkidd not as a hacker group, but rather a tuning shop and motorsport team. c00lkidd Motors' primary headquarters is the ruins of a Builder Brothers' Pizza branch, the same one they burnt down long ago

telamon was a robed superhero who served as the world's premier defender (before unstoppable came in), fending off the enemies of peace with his seven swords; darkheart, ghostwalker, icedagger, firebrand, venomshank, windforce, and illumina. he was presumed dead after imprisoning a dark threat in 2007, but miraculously returned to existence to take down this threat once more in 2038. to nobody's knowledge, telamon never died, and that his true identity was the humble...

j. shedletsky vii comes from a long line of successful entrepeneurs and tycoons, and he continues that capitalist legacy with his own fast food chain, the chicken shed, acclaimed for its clever chicken-based menu, and its iconic annual fried chicken eating contest, where the winner receives a replica of the legendary linked sword, the sword used by the fighters of the heights long ago. in secret, he oversaw the safety of the planet as the hero telamon. however, nobody knew the friendly tycoon was the world's most powerful superhero

Wjoenn Naexis (1x1x1x1)

emperor of ph'yera domino, the largest political entity in the entire four-dimensional omniverse, spanning 4 galaxies. in 2007, jertindliuss-meta time, he traveled to jertindliuss-meta, the closest three-dimensional universe to ph'yera, and studied its sole planet with intelligent life, earth; but due to a miscalculation in the correct fuel consumption rate for his spacecraft, he crash landed in the united states on the heights, the world's first and only airborne racetrack. the only night guard of the track, john shedletsky vii, welcomed wjoenn to earth, and helped him learn about the human race. it wasnt long until he found out about the petty conflicts humans waged, and soon, he found out about the war on terror and deemed that humans should be eradicated, as they have no place among the sapient species of the cosmos and only destroy themselves. wjoenn sent his only emergency tachyon message to the direction of ph'yera, with the command of "cleanse planet earth of jertindliuss-meta". knowing that it would take at least 18 years for his subjects to get to earth, wjoenn decides to make as much progress as he can to destroy civilization himself before he is outnumbered. however, his rampage across the nation was cut short by telamon, the world's strongest superhero, who gave his life to inprison wjoenn. in 2038, he broke free from his chains and disguised himself as a street racer, driving a heavily modified 2002 honda accord. during the fbi-led operation eigengrau in july 2038, he was killed by telamon once and for all with seven slashes from each of the seven swords
