History of fall + tenderness in anatomical snuffbox
History of fall + tenderness in anatomical snuffbox + normal x-ray (missed fracture of scaphoid) --Investigations:
In initial 24 hours - do MRI
After 24 hours - do CT
In fracture of scaphoid - blood supply is only in distal end -- AVN of proximal part
My hand is free!
Well sort of - still have to wear a splint
Got to go back next week for an MRI as I still can't move my hand or wrist properly and there's 'irregularities' on my x ray - whatever that means. So until then I've got a sick note off work for 2 weeks but after next week im on a clinical induction so classroom time so I still can go to that. So until its better I'm going to chill and catch up on some box sets!
Just a dislocated hyoid when you're trying to eat dinner kinda day
And I had to get my scaphoid put back in and I realised her thumb had embossed itself on the back of my hand when I got home half an hour later (with hives on my pinky because she touched my skin)
And I don't like what this one rib in particular is doing. Or the rest of these stupid bones.
Right bone, wrong place.
At least I know what a lot of bones are called now.
