I’m slowly making a reimagining (and very self indulgent) au where Jacinthe & Lebanne are BOTH the SBC’s leaders while also having a story to tell on how they first started this society & their relationship as high ranked tough but loving double battling partners! 💜💚

I’ve been thinking about this au for a while and mainly wanting to make it because I really want Jacinthe and especially Lebanne to have a more happier & healthier relationship and also having bigger and less problematic roles in the Legends ZA story. (I just want Lebanne happy, man 🥲) Basically, I’m undooming & detoxifying this Yuri lmao

I like how the SBC Trainers specialize in either the Dragon-type or the Fairy-type. It's mainly represented in Lebanne and Jacinthe, and while individually it represents their relationship, as a whole it represents the Society of Battle Connoisseurs really well. They're a legion of elite wealthy expert Trainers of high society, the top brass, and the fact that they use both Dragon and Fairy is representative of that in a fun spin for Z-A's setting being entirely within a city and being more Trainer battle focused than most Pokémon games.

Dragon and Fairy are not only among the strongest types of the lot but they are basically the most mythical, larger-than-life types of the 18 Pokémon types. Dragon has always been a mostly late-game type, with legendaries, pseudo-legendaries, and whatnot in it, and most of its Pokémon are statistically powerful and show up in the late game, even ordinary Dragons like Noivern, Haxorus, Duraludon, etc. They have that late game boss feel, often being endgame boss fights, and in other games are in late-game areas like Mt. Coronet or nearby, and tend to be found in very mystical places like lakes and majestic caves and whatnot. Fairy-types tend to be very mystical as well, and fairly rare, even though they tend to be found earlier than Dragons.

Both types have that "dominion over nature" vibe that adds to their fantastical, larger-than-life feel. Dragon resists all three starter types and Electric, which are the four "basic" elemental types, and has a lot of high-power offensive moves. Fairy resists a few common types like Dark, Fighting, and Bug, and its offensive moves aren't quite as strong but it has good support presence. Moves like Moonblast and Draco Meteor highlight their "I have power over nature itself" thing they share, but express in opposite ways.

Z-A having both types mainly associated with a society of top brass elite Trainers who see themselves as a cut above the rest is so fitting that way for its setting, and a unique spin on how both types are usually designed to be larger-than-life and a cut above everything else, both in how they're encountered in the wild and who you see using them.
