The delightful blend of savory and sweet flavors in this tapenade fig jam is delightful. Traditional fig jam is given a distinctive twist by the addition of black olive tapenade, which also makes it a flavorful and adaptable condiment.
Ingredients: 1 lb fresh figs, stems removed and chopped. 1 cup sugar. 1/4 cup lemon juice. 2 tbsp black olive tapenade. 1/2 tsp vanilla extract.
Instructions: The chopped figs, sugar, and lemon juice should all be combined in a medium saucepan. Bring the mixture to a boil while cooking over medium heat, stirring from time to time. Once the mixture has thickened and the figs have softened, reduce the heat to low and simmer for 20 to 25 minutes. Add the vanilla extract and black olive tapenade, and cook, stirring constantly, for an additional five minutes. After removing from the heat, give the jam some time to cool. Spoon jam into sterilized jars, screw lids on, and allow to come to room temperature. Before using, let the jam sit in the fridge for at least two hours. Savor your delectable tapenade fig jam with crackers, toast, or as a topping for a variety of dishes!

Get to Know Chutney, Savory Jam for Your Biscuits!
When we talk about India, one word that comes to our mind is spices. This country has many spices with strong flavors. However, you don't have to go to India just to buy these items as you can find them in Indian restaurants. One of the species most people are looking for is the chutney.
What is chutney? This is one of the savory jams made from a type of fruit and also some savory ingredients such as vinegar, shallots, spices, garlic, or mustard seeds that are processed slowly. You can slice this savory jam with a little biscuits, bread, and it's also quite a bit to jazz up your meat dish.
As far as I am aware, this is not something you can find in stores. Green chili jam, made from poblano peppers, onion, garlic and spices, is a savory jam that I like to use to glaze pork and chicken and sometimes even enjoy on a piece toast.
