LOOK LOOK I AM INSANE. Like to start lets get something off my chest. When I say a 'true idgaf' er that is someone who is literally SO honest about how they feel. They do not GIVE A FUCK if they get hurt by becoming attached to someone or not. They DON'T care if that person will leave them or not return their feelings. They WILL fight for a relationship and they also are perfectly at home with the concept of being hurt by being rejected or let down.
THAT is a true idgaf to ME. A true idgaf is not scared of showing feelings or being honest about their wants and needs, they are not deterred by the disapproval of peers or rejection of their feelings.
THIS is what I mean when I say Choso is a true idgaf to ME. He is full throttle on his feelings, his wants, his desires, and needs and is fully willing to wait someone out or talk through those emotions.
idgaf fakery and what a lot of people see as idgaf are the same to me. because I feel like they both stem from a place of inability to be vulnerable about their feelings. fake idgaf just ALREADY have feelings and pretend they don't, while normal idgaf is not ALLOWING yourself to get feelings at all and therefore being callous in response.
(this is completely separate from people who genuinely don't like companionship, but those people don't put themselves in companionship situations at all and are therefore loners, to me. They are not in a situation where idgaf is applicable because they genuinely don't want to be around people. Idgaf is very situational to me and happens when people are in a companionship situation, not normal coworker or professional.necessary interactions.)
Wrapping back around: I LOVE MY SATOCHO because Satoru is THE fake idgaf and Choso is the TRUE idgaf. Choso returns energy and also is full throttle on everything.
He wants Satoru? He is going to say so and pursue him.
He's feeling vulnerable? He's going to talk it out.
He's looking for affirmations(rare)? He's going to be honest about it.
He is a HARD-WORKING, RUGGED guy (per Yuki, my queen) who is NOT afraid to cry.
Satoru would NOT know what to do with this and all of his idgaf would fall apart in front of this guy that actually witnessed him at one of his weakest gaf moments. I think there could be SO many twisty feelings wouldn't be allowed to fester because Choso would be SO fucking upfront about things.
The love of Satoru's life was just as squirrely as he is! What do you MEAN Choso wants to have a deep conversation about their wants and needs and precious people????????
Satoru's passive ass is SCRAMBLING as Choso checks in and spends time with him and takes an interest in his interests!!!(Which Suguru did...kinda. They were teenage boys, your honor, and self-absorbed. I BET they made fun of each other a few times around their interests and habits.)
Choso takes this relationship VERY seriously.
Anyway, my point is that SatoCho can contain so many multitudes, yknow?
