Long ask with sooo many questions.
Before I answer, I do want to say that all my posts are usually left up to anyone who wants to write and explore more. All of my posts are drabbles/usually incomplete thoughts I have.
This is just my interpretation of coltlandgentry x Simon, but anyone can play with this ship/trope all they want. They're characters and dolls at the end of the day.
Gonna organize this cause theres a lot. Dw, I love it.
1. How do you think his heat would go? / Would he be able to go into heat or did Eden/COI do something? / Is he finally able to go into heat after years of nothing because of a stable environment?
Being in Eden/COI would likely fuck up Simon's heat cycle. Usually an animal isn't able to have children when the environment isn't safe enough, so I would like to apply that knowledge here too. The environment of Eden/COI weren't good at all for any Alpha/Omega, so ruts and heats were eventually just short fevers that lasted a day or two, maybe three, or it stopped all together if it was bad bad.
In Simon's situation, I would say his heat would usually last about a day or two with a short fever and that's all. The thing is, if he grew up like this, I feel like he would just assume everyone was like this. I doubt Eden would take time to educate this (since it would out them as an unsafe environment and lose control), along with the COI already knowing but not caring for prisoners that much, especially Eden prisoners.
Being with Grace, and the brothers, would put him in a safe environment. Meaning his heats would ram the hell up to be able to balance his body, which would mean the first heats he gets, maybe for a few years, are the worst. Fevers, aches, everything, just rammed up. It would take years for it to stabilize, or at least close to stabilizing, since it would leave long lasting effects on him. It definitely scares him going through this.
2. Would he beg for Grace specifically to help him through? / Or would Grace be too busy with the astrophage to help?
It would depend where we put this timeline. I like to think Grace would help as much as he could, as Simon's heats (at the first few years) are a lot. Even with the Astrophage stuff, he'd take time, but even then, it's a lot for Grace too.
3. Would Simon scream and cry and for Grace- for Ryland, or would his hind brain allow Court or Colt? / Would they have talked about it before hand, or was it a spontaneous situation?
Simon would call out for Ryland specifically, since he's the most comfortable with him. But, if he has some familiarity with the brothers, and had a long conversation beforehand, then he would allow Court or Colt to take him to bed.
If it was a spontaneous event, maybe Simon's first ever full heat and none of them expected it and Ryland isn't there, I don't think any of the brothers would step up. Especially if it feels like a line they're not meant to cross. I think they'd get toys, no matter how embarrassing it is, for Simon. Or call Ryland if that's an option.
4. Is it hard for Grace to hear screams of both pain and pleasure from Simon knowing he can’t help for the completion of the mission and feel the worry build up?
Oh, absolutely. He'd feel a lot of worry, especially since Simon is in a lot of pain and he can't do anything at all. With worry, frustration would build up, which would make completing the mission harder, which then means he can't help longer, and it becomes a cycle.
5. Would his hind brain feel possessive of his omega?
Yes yes yes. He's definitely possessive of Simon, and it even weirds himself out on how possessive he is. It's definitely weird when having the conversation with his brothers, since that's his omega.
6. Would he fell horny then guilty about how hard it must be for Simon?
Both. Horny at the fact that Simon is calling out for him specifically, his Alpha. It plays into his possessiveness. But also guilty cause he can't do anything since he's busy, which he hates himself over.
7. How about Court and Colt? Who would step up?
Both, Id like to think. Whoever is the only one there gets to help, but if both are there, that's where it becomes slightly difficult. I would say Colt would do it first, since my mind Coltland twins and while they're scent isn't that similar, his face enough is enough to get Simon to ease. A bit fucked up, but it works. If Colt isn't there, Court would do it.
8. Would it be Colt and his continued distance and slight animosity that was their constant? / Would he feel bad and treat simon more gently? / Would Simon be in his right mind enough to feel disgust at the apparent pity that Colt is showing him? / Or would his omega fully embrace it and be good for the alpha?
Since Simon's heat is, well, bad because of the need to balance itself, I feel like Colt would have to be rough but in a gentle way? He still has his distance and slight animosity, but even he would see the pain Simon would go through and have a little guilt.
I would think both for the last two questions. In some rational part of Simon's mind, he would hate and feel disgusted by the pity, especially if it's coming from Colt. But with his omega side in it's heat phase would fully embrace it and be good, if only to just stop the pain.
9. Would Court continue to be cold and clinical? / Or would he insist on being gentler? / Would he be more caring or keep the distance?
During heats, he would be gentler. Even he has his humane side, and seeing Simon in pain would push some buttons of his, even if its out of pity. He would be more caring, just to keep Simon out of pain. However out of heats, he would still keep his distance. Though I'd think he'd be a bit more soft after the first heat with him, since instincts of an Alpha.
10. Would either of them feel guilt about how out of his mind Simon is? / Or worse yet, did none of the brothers help him and programmed Armando for heat relief?
They would feel guilty, with how out of his mind Simon is and how painful it must be.
Ouhh, if they brothers didn't help at all? That's somehow worse imo. The thought of Simon going through the worst heat imaginable and needing some robot for heat relief would feel too pitiful.

I don't think Simon's omega would accept this, especially at the fact that he'd want Grace specifically, and a robot could not compare to that. His brothers are okayish compared to Grace, but a robot? No.
Oh, and absolutely he would question that. Sure, there would be a rational part of his brain that wouldn't blame the brothers if they didn't help, but that's quickly squashed by the fact that no one, expect Grace who is busy, can help him at his most vulnerable time.
Coming from an environment where Alphas were likely desperate just to have relief, now to into an environment where no Alpha would help, would definitely shake Simon's Omega a bit. Sure, he didn't like the desperate Alphas, but at his most vulnerable and attractive time of his month, that's where no Alphas would want him? Is he that undesirable?
12. Would there be aftercare? And genuine, thought out support for simon? Like the food and water and wiping down? / Or would they be slowly running out of food and he fears being left to stew in his own sweat and bodily fluids?
LOTS of aftercare!! Lots of water, and ice packs if necessary. Food too, lots of food. I think they're give small portions of food first before they add more and more, just to be safe in case of throwing up. And yes, wiping down, then added clean blankets and sheets.
I doubt Simon would go into full heat if food/water was running low. Heats/ruts take a lot of energy. But, I would add that if Colt or Court were to do it with Simon during his heat, they would care for him, but never actually cuddle or touch him like a mate would. So while Simon is left technically cared for, he doesn't have the love that comes with it.
