me: time is an illusion

I was brought to the doctors by my head of year, and I was then referred to an on-call crisis team at A&E (our equivalent of ER for those of you who don't know) so I was given an urgent risk assessment and I had some blood work done - my results all came back clear, although I have a more detailed one scheduled in two weeks time. I was lucky enough to be given a really organised team, who have all agreed that I need urgent care, so instead of being discharged like my previous encounters with hospitals, I'm now being referred to a crisis group, I'll see a psychiatrist and hopefully be prescribed medication (my doctor has said if my psychiatrist doesn't prescribe it, she will authorise it herself) and I'll start EMDR therapy soon as I haven't responded to CBT. A lot is happening currently, and I have exams happening at the moment (I actually missed my Physics exam this morning oops), so I won't be on much, but for the meantime, I am safe, and my parents are aware of what has happened. I will try and get round to replying to all of your lovely messages at some point after exams (aka in a weeks time) and I just want to thank you all so much for your concern and support Lav xoxo

Today is my one year anniversary from the day that i decided i wanted to live my life no matter how bad things were, and no matter how bad they would still get. March 22 2014 i decided i wouldn’t kill myself, i would live my life and just see how it goes. Today, exactly one year later i can say that i am increadibly happy i refused to exit the game and i held on to the tiniest things, that were proven to be the huge things, that kept me alive and gave me strength to this day, and they still do. I can now confidently say that i’m 100% post suicidal and i have no such thoughts in my head anymore, and i am fucking proud of myself for that. Things like that don’t happen overnight, and i had help, i could have never made it on my own. So i would like to say a big thank you to my best friend Effy for coming in my life at exactly the right time, for being there for me, for making me realise that this didn’t have to be the end and that i was strong enough to fight it, and for loving me for who i am. I wouldn’t have made it without her, i owe her my life. For all of you out there who are going throught depression, mental illness, self harm, being suicidal, anything, please PLEASE hold on to something, even if it’s so tiny other people can’t see it. It’s worth it because things DO get better, i promise. Life is a hot mess, and it will always be, but we were brought here to live it. And last but not least thank you to all my beautiful friends in here that have helped me through the dark days, i can’t thank you enough for all the kindness and support, i love you all
