In 528 BCE, a young prince named Siddhartha Guatama was born. He lived a sheltered life, and by the age of 30, he ventured into the world where he encountered illness and death. Moved by suffering in the world, he decided to give up his lavish lifestyle and search for liberation from suffering.  After years of searching, Gautama found enlightenment while meditating under a Bodhi tree. He realised that liberation comes from disciplining the mind and he went to Sarnath to teach others how to achieve this spiritual state. 最終日にサールナートに到着。 ブッタが初めて説法をした地とこれも仏教徒ではない僕からだと遺跡の様な感覚だったが、鹿野苑と言う場所は手塚治虫のブッタにも出てきた鹿に初めて説法した場所でした。 読んでは知ってたけれど、いざその場所に来ると不思議と落ち着く場所に感じる。 それに多分毎日あれだけのヒンドゥー教徒を目の当たりにしてると、日本が仏教国なんだと、それが自分達にそれに馴染んでいるのだと実感してしまう。 隣に美術館もあるので覗いてみたが、インドの美術品は石像が多いので、その殆どがどこか壊れてしまっている。 帰りはムスリムの祭りか何かで道が閉鎖されると聞いて、午前中の観光だけをして帰路についた。飛行機も空港で一本前のにしてもらった。 インド人は基本的には人懐っこくて親切なので、チケットの変更も快く引き受けてくれる。(水飲むか？疲れたでしょ？座っていいよ！中入って！クルーどかすね！日本人？ソニーは良いブランドだね！幾ら？高いネ！！)など質問責めではあったけど。。。 やはりバラナシは強烈な場所だった。 人生が変わる理由はよくわかった。ある意味相当な覚悟が必要になるけども、一度は行った方がいい場所だと僕は感じる。 今と昔と生と死が混在してる。 悩みが悩みで無くなってしまう凄さ。 そこで生きてる人達の力強さは半端ないので、自分自身も今日明日生きる事への執着心をしっかりと思い出される様に感じた。 #sarnath #sarnathstupa #varanasi #buddha #サールナート #ストゥーパ #バラナシ #ブッダ #仏陀 #旅行 #インド美容師 #手塚治虫 (Dhamek Stupa) https://www.instagram.com/p/B2RDlOCHT_F/?igshid=1csx1zxp0ysx8
