Prepare for a long-winded run on sentence thatâs not even really about the show itself.Â
I wish people would stop marketing it on tumblr as the most perfect, unproblematic show. Itâs not, and to be honest I donât particularly care that itâs had few problematic moments (with the fat jokes/asexual comment in s1 I feel like thereâs only been likeâŠ5 or so things that I didnât appreciate) but the fact that people push the idea that it is 1000% perfect does get irritating because itâs likeâŠon tumblr whenever people see a show/person that they view as unproblematic itâs HAILED until it does (1) thing wrong and then people rag on it and try to rip it to shreds. So I always get nervous when I see it for B99 because on the tag sometimes you see people (who probably have only ever seen one episode or never watched to be completely honest) going âHey!!!!!! This show is BAD because of THIS NEVER WATCH IT AGAIN.â And the fact that thatâs done probably says more about them than the fandom but still, I think itâs a little irritating and honestly, nothing is ever 100% unproblematic so I feel like acting like it is is a bit unfair and doesnât allow for proper, true criticism of things (or on the flip side, enjoying things for what they are).Â

The music was bopping in the club. Multicolored lights drenched the club, making even the dark areas look bright and cheery.
Gwen laughed as MJ put her hands on Gwenâs hips, and they swayed to the music. Gwen responded by putting her arms on MJâs shoulder, and threading her fingers through MJâs hair.
It was a light, airy night. No sadness, no heaviness, just fun.
The music sped up, and their dancing tempo sped up in return. Gwen tugged slightly, then configured herself so she pulled MJ into a half turn, leading to MJâs back pressing up against Gwenâs chest.
âLove you cherry,â Gwen said against MJâs ear.
MJ laughed. âLove you too,â she said, kissing Gwen in the middle of the club.

Oh gosh I hate the Jerry thing too. So much. Not least because itâs often about his weight :/
UGH YES. I was expecting the Jerry thing to go away in a few episodes as he got integrated into the team and/or people learned to see past what they didnât like about him (as has happened with a number of other characters), but instead the show seemed to have picked up âeveryone is awful to Jerryâ as a recurring joke in just about every episode, and not in an accidental way, but straight-up bullying and even deliberately hurting him. I wish it would stop.

I LOVE Robot of Sherwood. It's one of my favourites.
Itâs the most consistent series with the best-executed series arc imho. Just beautiful, beautiful stuff. (And Robot of Sherwood is just such a joy...)
