he’s quiet for a moment, staring at kris with a somewhat hollow expression. his response, when it comes, is sharp, voice raspy, as if he’s saying something that doesn’t quite sound right in his mouth.

The demon couldn’t help their sly grin whenever they encountered the familiar face. They’d already tormented the child once before, and he knew his presence itself would be enough to gratify him with a sense of accomplishment. He hovered, not revealing himself for a while, besides the other until they were alone. 

After all, tormenting them and having someone show up would dampen his enjoyment- he’d rather not fear any interruptions.

“Hey kiddo- miss me?” The demon cooed, before breaking into a round of sarcastic laughter. “I know I missed messin’ with ya.”

He couldn’t help but wonder if the child would be more impressionable this time or if he’d have to try harder- either way, he doubted he wouldn’t get some kind of enjoyment out of this; he floated upside down in front of the other, pointed teeth arranged in a wide grin and tail swishing back and forth in a cat-like sense of contentment.
