ââY/n? Where the h*ll am I?ââ Sam jumps up from his sleeping state on the floor. He looks around frantically looking for his girlfriend and trying to figure out where he is. He pulls himself up using the wall for support, suddenly feeling the pain in his stomach. He grabs his side and pulls his hand back to see his blood covering his hand. He groans but soon forgets about it, his mind going back to Y/n.
ââY/n! Somebody!ââ He looks around once again before beginning to walk to nowhere in particular. He reaches behind him to feel for his gun, but notices that it is missing from his waistband. He sighs heavily and continues to walk forward.
ââAhhhhhhh!ââ Y/nâs voice rings out, and echoes through the building. Sam begins to run, trying to follow the voice, but it sounded like it came from every direction.
ââY/n! Y/n!ââ He breaks into a sprint, forgetting about the pain in his stomach.
ââAhh! Sam!ââ The voice sounds like it came from the opposite direction that he is running in. He quickly turns and runs the other way.
ââCome on. Come on!ââ He shouts out aggravated.
ââSam! Sam! Ahh, Sam! Where are you! Sam! Help me! Please, Sam!ââ Y/nâs voice bounces on and off different walls, coming from different directions. Samâs head turns and looks around frantically, desperately trying to figure out where she is. Â
ââNo! Y/n.ââ
Sam shoots up abruptly from his sleep in his bed. It takes him a second to figure that heâs in the bunker. He feels the panic rise in him, remembering his dream. He grabs for Y/n on his left, but he feels nothing but air. He quickly turns, not seeing his girlfriend lying next to him.
ââY/n?ââ He whispers, feeling tears beginning to pool in his eyes. He puts his head in his hands and letting the tears fall, not being able to think about anything but Y/n in danger.
The door to their shared room is opened by Y/n, carrying a glass of water in her hand. She stops as soon as she closes the door and takes in Samâs state.
ââSammy?ââ She questions softly. His head shoots up at the sound of her voice, and he stands up and makes his way hurriedly to her. He wraps his arms around her torso, and buries his face into her neck, taking in her scent. ââSam, whatâs wrong?ââ She asks and lightly strokes his hair to sooth him.^^^
ââI just, I had a nightmare.ââ She sighs lightly, not being too loud, but sad that he is still having dreams. She pulls away from him to caress his face before leading him to the bed. She sits down, and she has him lay his head on her lap, continuing to stroke his hair.
ââTell me about it?ââ
ââI woke up in some building, and I couldnât find you. You kept screaming, but it was like you were in every room or right next to me. I couldnât get to you. Then I woke up, and you werenât here.ââ
ââAww, Sammy, Iâm sorry. Iâm here, though, okay. I went to get some water. Iâm safe.ââ She leans down, and plants a kiss on his forehead. He sighs, nodding, and closes his eyes. She continues to stroke his hair, and he eventually falls back to sleep. Y/n following soon after.

Unnatural Rebellions // Sam Winchester x Daughter!Reader
Masterlist // Who I Write For // PromptsÂ
âHey dad!â a voice echoed throughout the bunker, Sam looked up for the research he was doing to find his daughter standing by the doorway of the library, she had bed head and looked as if she had only just woke up (she was still in her pyjamas),
âHey sweetheart, just woke up?â he asked, chuckling to himself while she nodded softly,
âYeah I was doing some research last night and I must have fallen asleep late.â Sam nodded at her explanation. She was always going to sleep late she was so much like her uncle, which was much against Samâs liking sometimes he didn't know whether he was talking to Dean or Y/N. It was at that point Dean walked into the library,
âHey have you guys had breakfast?â Dean questioned, food was always on his mind, Sam rolled his eyes.
âNo, we havenât I was thinking of going to the diner down the road for some when you guys were finally awake.â Sam said Dean looked happy about the idea of getting food cooked for him and Y/N just seemed happy at the thought of bacon, another thing she got from her uncle was her love for junk food, she never really picked up in Sams healthy diets.Â
âSure just let me get dressed, Iâll be out in a minute.â the brothers nodded at the young girl, Sam looked back down at his research but was interrupted by Deans voice,
âYou know she went out last night right?â Sam looked up quickly,
âWhat do you mean?â he question, Dean looked surprised, normally Sam knows exactly where his daughter went (not because he's protective it just so he knows to incase she gets into trouble, shes a Winchester afterall),
âI saw her leave the bunker and come back at about 1am when I asked her where she had been she just smiled and ran to her room. I decided to let it go, I thought you would've known. She knows what sort of trouble follows the Winchester name.â Dean explained, at this point, Sam had a big frown on his face ready to start questioning his daughter on her whereabouts but once again he was stopped.
âI can explain all that but can we talk over food? I'm really hungry.â a small voice sounded into the tense room, Sam and Dean looked up to see Y/N ready to get breakfast.
âYou know what I'm not even going to argue with that right now, I'm hungry too, come on let's go but little missy I want the truth once we get to the diner,â Sam said sternly, Y/N nooded in reply.
-----------
Once they arrived at the diner the family sat down in a booth and the waitress took their order,Â
âAlright little miss, start talking, where were you last night?â Sam questioned, Y/N looked at him and sighed,
âOkay fine, I wasnât lying earlier when I said I was doing research. Originally I was in my room reading through the books you gave me yesterday to read through and find information for the case, but in those books, I found something really cool about the bunker, so I left the bunker to test it out...â
âDo you really think I was born yesterday Y/N, I know when you lie to me. Tell me the truth I promise I wonât overreact.â Sam explained, Y/N sighed once again,Â
âFine. I went out to see a new friend, Iâve already tested him with everything I can so don't worry he's clean. I met him the other day while we were out shopping. He came over to me while I was sitting on the car and complimented her,â a small âhell yeahâ could be heard from Dean âany way he gave me his number and said that I should meet up with him, so I have been. Mainly with his friends as well, but last night we went out to see a film and that's why I got in late...â Sam and Dean sat there for a while, how had they not realised Y/N had been going out without telling them. At that point, they realised she had told them but through her explanations was the truth.
âWell played Y/N youâre smarter than me and your dad. Your grandad wouldâve caught it straight away if he were here though.â Dean smiled trying to lighten the tense mood, Y/N laughed at her uncleâs words,
âWell yeah but you werenât a good liar when you were younger uncle Dean, or thatâs what dad has always told me,â she answered, Dean, turning to his younger brother in surprise that he would say such a thing.
âOkay I might have said that a few times, I'm not wrong dude, dad always knew what was happening with us, but we're not talking about that right now. Y/N why didn't you just tell us you were going out with this by, you know we wouldn't have said no, anytime you get to have a normal life Iâll let you.â Sam asked Y/N looked down as the waitress came over with the food. After saying thank you Y/N decided to answer her dad's question,
âI guess that's not how normal families react to that sort of situation, I just wanted to be a rebellious teenager for once so I decided to sneak out, but I guess uncle Dean caught me and I thought it was fun. I donât know I just wanted to be normal for once.â Sam nodded at his daughter. She looked so much like Jess it was scary, though he adored that his daughter looked more like her mother, but the height was all him and he loved that. Looking at how his daughter had grown and what life sheâs had to grow up in, going from living in an apartment living a normal life with both her mother and father, to having to quickly learn how to use a gun and fight all the monsters that should actually be in her closet, he got knocked out of his thoughts to dean saying,
âAre you gonna eat that or can we have it?â pointing to his breakfast, Sam rolled his eyes,
âStop thinking with youâre stomach dean.â knocking his hand away, the famiy laughed,
âIâm not saying what you did was a bad thing, but Iâm also not saying it was a good thing either, okay?â Y/N nodded âjust remember to tell us before you go anywhere just for your safety okay?â Y/N nodded once again. The family then sat and talked for a while before setting off home, happy and full.
I hadn't seen her in years! Not since before I went to hell! She was my first proper girlfriend even though I was terrified. A bad ass hunter herself. That's probably how we worked.
As she served a plate of cholesterol I couldnt help but feel eighteen again. She looked exactly the same! Her long jet black hair was wrapped into a bun, her Blue eyes still like ice, her body still curvy and oh my god.
"Dean? Are you drooling?"
"What?' I asked and wiped my mouth. Sam knew about her but he pribably never noticed her there.
"What ca- Dean? Sam?"Â I looked up and seen her. Standing there before us. She wasin shock to see us.
"I thought you died! Have you ever thought of picking up the phone?!"
"We erm...We didn't think you were still alive!" Sam said and stood up to give her a hug. She hugged him back but couldnt keep her eyes off me.
"The last thing I heard was you were stuck in Hell Dean!"
Woah! It's been 10 years since I was in Hell. Has she stopped hunting?
'That was ten years ago Y/N! Did you quit hunting?"
"Lord no!" She answered and sat beside me. "I'm in town hunting a werewolf. I'm guessing that's why you two are here"
"Always on the ball. Hows your dad?"
"He erm....He was killed 9 years ago by this werewolf. Thats how I got this' she said and showed a scar going down her ribcage on across her navel.
Jesus! She was near gutted! She eventually had to get back to work but she we agreed to meet up and kill this thing.
She was clearly checking me out! She gave me her number again and said she'd call when her shift ended.
As Sam and I walked to the Impala he began to to plan how we would go about the hunt.
Sam and I were cleaning our guns when we heard a knock on our Motel door. We cautiously opened it to see Y/N standing there.
"Wow. Don't be too happy to see me" she said sarcastically and walked in the door.
"Got enough silver bullets?" She asked as she put the safety on her gun. She still had the same gun as the last time I seen her.
"More than enough. You do remember our dad was a marine"
"You do remember I'm an anxious potato"
"Wouldnt say potato Y/N. You've still got it. Even at 37" I said. She smiled and I could've sworn I seen her blush.
"Oh Deano. You haven't changed at all" She replied and walked around me. This werewolf seemed to attack in the forest near by so we made our way there.
As I pulled up I could see the moon rising through the trees. It was the last night if the full moon so it was the last night we could get this thing.
"We should split up. We can cover more ground" Sam suggested. I agreed and so did Y/N.
We made our way through the forest guns at a ready and filled with silver to gank this son of a bitch.
As I walked with Y/N in the dark forest, petricore swarming my senses I heard a twig snap to the left.
Y/N turned in the same direction gun raised. I could see she was ready to take this bitch down.
"You stay here. I'm quieter so I can see if I can sneak up on this thing'
"Y/N! Its a werewolf!"
Yeah! The werewolf that killed my father!" She replied and walked away from me, gun raised and ready to shoot.
I waited until I heard a gun shot. I ran like lightening to see Y/N under the werewolf battling against him. Jesus! She was a strong bitch!
She managed to shoot it in the stomach making the thing whimper. It scratched at her stomach at the same time making her let out a scream of agony.
"Y/N!" I screamed and shot the werewolf right in the heart. I ran to her to see her on the ground holding her stomach and shaking.
"Jesus. SAMMY! WHERE ARE YOU?!" I screamed and looked Y/N in the eyes. She looked absolutely terrified.
"D-Dean. If Im gonna die you- You need to know something" She made me look at her and smiled through the pain.
She took off her necklace and opened it to reveal a picture of her, me and Sammy and two children. They looked so much like me.
"Their names are Mary and John. I told them so much about you. They're yours' she explained. She began to cough up blood. No Y/N. We need you!
I heard what sounded like multiple branches breaking and seen Sam running down to us.
"Oh god. Get her to the car! Now!" Sam ordered. I did as I was told amd ran with her to the car. Sam drove us straight to the motel room.
She was fighting unconsciousness the whole way there. I was keeping her awake by talking to her about the kids.
"They'd love you Dean' she said as I brought her into the room. Sam got to work on her stitches as I held her hand. She was in agony. Who knew werewolf scratches went so deep?!
"Dean. Go to room 265. It's where they are. " Y/N ordered. I nodded and ran down through the motel.
I knocked on the door and it was opened by a boy identical to me.
"Follow me and see your mom!"
"MARY!" he screamed. A little girl ran the door and they both followed me.
----------
It's been three years since then. Y/N and I are happily married now with the kids in the bunker. Sammy is here as well of course. It funny how a werewolf brought us together.
"You okay Dean?" Y/N asked as we lay in bed.
"Couldn't be better" I said before kissing her lips

Summary: The reader and the Winchesters go on a witch hunt. The reader is a White Witch and during the hunt gets captured. The Winchesters find her but not in time. Dean and the reader have feelings for each other but neither of them are brave enough to say so.
*********************************************
The Winchesters and you were on a witch hunt in Rockport, Massachusetts. A small town with a population of only 7,000. Among them a pretty powerful witch!
Youâd been drawn to the case due to its victims. You knew them all. They were your friends from High School you still kept in contact with and your brother. He was about 5 years older but ran from the life you couldnât get out of. He bettered himself, got a job, married a gorgeous girl and had kids.
Your little Niece Chloe and Nephew Brandon were twins and the most beautiful children youâd ever seen. You seen them often as you could and every time you did you brought them presents and their favourite candies.
Your brother Sean wasnât born with the gift like you were. He was born 6 years before you making you the baby. The gift only passes down from mother to daughter. Chloe was born with it but you were asked to bind her powers. He wanted her to live a normal life.
You didnât tell the boys why you were so adamant on taking this case. You just needed to avenge your brothers death for your Sister in law Katy,Chloe and Brandon. This was crushing you but you knew how those kids felt. You too lost your father at a young age. Werewolf in New York killed your father and almost you.
This hunt had taken a bad turn! You were the next on the list. Sheâd drawn you in but she wasnât gonna kill you like sheâd killed your brother and your friends. Leaving alone in the night wasnât a good idea
As you crept into the house alone you noticed something strange. This place was way too clean.
âEi mihi, quod nunc pellibusâ
The room became what it truly was. The room that looked like a normal living room was actually covered in blood. Their was blood splattered all over the wall and there was what looked like an alter in the corner. This bitch is into heavy shit.
âFinallyâ you heard before you were hit on the back of the head with something.
~Dean P.O.V ~
To save money on the room Sam, Y/N and I just got a double room. I was sharing with Y/N and Sam had the bed to himself.
I woke up to see I was alone in the bed. I turned to see if Y/N was just in the bathroom but the light wasnât on and Sam was still snoring his brains out.
I sat up and seen what looked like a load of papers on the table. I went to them and seen lists. A list of names.
Sean Y/L/N
Wait a second! These are the vics. Y/Nâs brother was one of them?! No wonder sheâs been so distant. She hasnât been herself and barely eating or sleeping.
Sheâs gone after her alone! Y/N you idiot! Even with your mojo youâre screwed! Sheâs the most powerful out there but with her grieving she wonât be thinking straight.
I got dressed in a hurry and woke Sam.
âWhat?â
âY/N went after the Witch alone Sammy!â He shot up out of bed then. And got dressed faster than the freaking roadrunner. We got on the road in no time and I got Sam to read through Y/Nâs notes.Â
âWhy didnât she tell us her brother was killed"Â
âI donât know Sammy! Maybe she felt like she couldnât. All she wants now is revenge but I think this witch is targeting herâ I explained.Â
"Dean. Sheâs the last of her kind! What if this witch is trying to wipe out the good Witches?âÂ
It makes sense. By killing her friends and her brother this witch brought Y/N here! I stepped on the gas. I need to get to her!Â
 ~Y/N P.O.V~Â
My head was spinning as I awoke. I wasnât tied down or anything but I was being watched. I turned and seen that witch from before holding my gun. She was entranced it seemed.Â
"So youâre the Last White Witch? I was expecting something more"Â
"Like what? A fucking confetti following me?"Â
"Aww. Look at you! You inherited your motherâs Sarcastic streak"Â
What? How did she know my mother?Â
"How do you know my mother?!âÂ
"I was the last person to see her alive"Â
The rage that was rising in me made the earth quake and the witch looked at me in fear. I appeared in front of her and she went flying against the wall. Sam and Dean kicked the door in and when I seen Dean I lost all concentration.Â
The boys were sent flying back and so were you. She suddenly ran to you and pulled you up by your hair. As she turned both Sam and Dean had their guns on you Dean was holding yours.
"Shoot and Iâll break her neck!â She screamed. The boys didnât know but she also had a dagger to my back.Â
 "Dean! Shoot me!â
 "I canât do that Y/N!âÂ
"Youâre the only one who canâ He seemed to piece together what you meant. Youâd forgotten to switch your silver bullets for witch killing bullets. Youâd be safe enough. There would be a high chance youâd still die from blood loss but you trusted Dean.Â
Dean looked you in the eye and you could see the tear rolling down his face before the shot rang in your ear. The bullet entered your abdomen. You both fell to the floor from the shock.Â
"The great Y/N Y/L/N taken down by her own gunâ you were suddenly dragged up by your hair.Â
âItâs hilarious to think that in mere moments youâll be dead and so will those WinchestersâÂ
âOne thing about me is, Iâm forgetful. Iâm not dying, I forgot to switch my bulletsâ you say with a smile. You head butted her sending her flying back. Pure adrenaline was pumping through your veins. Your fight or flight response kicking in.
Dean threw his gun to you and you pointed it at her head. She was absolutely terrified now.
âThis is for my friends, my brother and my mother you bitch! â I said before the boom of the shot and the bullet entered her skull. She was dead instantly. You fell down beside her and looked to see sheâd actually stabbed you with the dagger when you head butted her. Dean was by your side in seconds.Â
âOh god Y/! Why did you make me do that?!â He screamed as he held my face. Tears were streaming down his face as he tried to rip the dagger from your stomach.Â
When he did you screamed so loudly you frightened him and Sam. Dean took off his plaid shirt and tied it around your stomach.Â
 "N-Noâ you said.Â
The blood loss was getting to you making you dizzy and hallucinate your family around you. They were screaming âItâs your faultâ over and over.Â
 "What d'you mean no?!âÂ
"Iâve no reason to live anymore. My family is dead. Itâs m-my faultâÂ
"No its not!â He said stubbornly as he pressed down on your stomach. You let out a pained whimper as he did.
"Your family dying was not your fault! The things we hunt are at fault here! Your mom and brother have been avenged. Your father was the night he died! If you wonât fight for Chloe and Brandon then fight for me!âÂ
"Why? Iâm easily replaced. They have their mom and their Aunt Lucyâ
"Because I love you Damn it! Iâm not losing you now!â He said before he kissed your lips. You kissed him back as he lifted you up off the floor.Â
"Itâs about damn time you admitted it Deanâ Sam said from the door. Heâd gotton the car ready to lay you in the back.Â
"Vade revertere in viam, et ego youd âamo ut.â You recited before you slipped into unconsciousnessÂ

A/N: I finally decided to finish this fic and post it. I wrote this back on New Years when I got sick, so everything in this is what I experienced then. This is also slightly dedicated to @impala-dreamer as she is down with the flu right now. Get well soon Beka and enjoy some Sammy taking care of you. (:
This is is. This is how you were going to die: tossing and turning in bed with what felt like a balloon swelling in your stomach. You were going to die, alone, at three a.m and nobody would discover you until probably late afternoon. Youâd be rotting for probably 12 hours before someone found you. You were sure of it.
Between the constant tossing and turning and general uncomfortableness you had managed to doze off for another couple of hours. âSurely,â you thought the second you woke up and everything felt okay, âIâm dead.â And then the upset stomach returned.
You figured a bathroom trip would help. Maybe you were just gassy from all that questionable food you ate on the last trip. Or maybe it was food poisoning from the same culprit. You were thinking it was the later by the time you had sat down to do your business.
You hadnât even had a chance to wash your hands after finishing up. You were headed there, eyes shut tight and mouth closed, biting down on the inside of your cheek, when you could feel what little was left in your stomach coming up.
You dropped to the floor, squatting in front of the toilet as your stomach expelled itâs contents once more, or what was left of them anyway. By the third heave, you were throwing up nothing but acid and air and neither felt good coming up.
A shiver ran through your body and soon enough, you were freezing cold in the t-shirt and leggings you had worn to bed. âA fever, great,â you mused, resting your hot head against your cool arm.
When you were sure it was over, and actually sure, you stood up, flushing the toilet and grabbing a rag from the cabinet. You ran the rag under warm water before rubbing it across your face, ridding yourself of the sweat and tears youâd produced from vomiting. You rinsed it out, then soaked it in cold water and laid it on the back of your neck.
With the rag still resting on your neck, you drug yourself back to your room, instantly collapsing into the full sized bed and curling up underneath the heap of blankets. Your shaky hands reached for your phone next to your table, checking the time. Seven a.m. No one should be awake at this time, not when itâs their day off and they want to relax. No one should be awake at this time, but you knew someone who was.
âSam Iâm dying please help,â you sent the text without thinking too much about it. Though, you realized you shouldâve given it more thought when the 6â4 man burst through your door, gun held tight in his hands and shouting âwhere is it! I swear to god Iâll kill the son of a bitch!â
He lowered his gun seeing you curled up under the pile of blankets, and tucked it back into his jeans. âY/N whatâs going on? Are you hurt?â He moved to sit beside your bed, placing one large hand to your cheek. âYouâre warm.â
âIâm sick,â you admitted, trying to shoo his hand away. âI dunno, itâs probably food poisoning. I knew we shouldnât have trusted that crap gas station food.â
âUh, two things,â he began, âYou donât get fevers with food poisoning and if it was food poisoning, Dean and I would be sick too. I think youâve got a stomach bug, kiddo,â he soothed, his hand brushing back your sweaty locks.
ââM not a kiddo,â you mumbled, pushing his hand away once again. âIâm only four months younger than you.â
He let out a lighthearted chuckle, moving his hands away. âCan I get you anything? Tylenol? Pepto Bismol? Some water?â
âWater would be lovely please and thank you.â
âOkay. You want anything to eat?â You grimaced at his question, feeling your stomach churn and face drain of color. âOr not. Just the water. Iâll be back.â
Sam sat on the side of your bed as you sipped the water. He simply waited until you were done and when you were he placed the cup on you nightstand. âCan I get you anything else?â
You shook your head, the action making you slightly dizzy. âI think iâm just gonna try to get some more sleep.â
âWere you up all night with this?â He asked, his hand brushing gently through your hair.
âSince about three this morning, yeah. I didnât actually get sick until now though,â you informed him. âHey actually, could you do one more thing?â When he gave a confirming nod, you continued, âwill you put my hair up? I donât know if iâm gonna throw up again but I donât want my hair in the way if I do.â
âSure darling.â Sam scooted behind you, letting you rest against his chest as he gathered your hair into a messy bun, securing it all with a hair tie. âGood?â
You nodded, the bun moving slightly on your head. âPerfect. Thanks Sam.â
âIf you need anything else, Iâm in the library. Iâll keep my phone close by. Get some rest.â
âI will do just that,â you hummed, already settling in for a nap.
âSo much for a nap,â you thought when you woke up at 8:15. You were hoping to get three or four hours in but instead you barely got one.
You decided that getting up and trying to walk around would be the best idea but you could barely make it to the bedroom door before your stomach started to protest against going anywhere but the bathroom.
It wasnât long before you were throwing up again. Acid and air, mostly, but you thought that was worse than actual food. It all sucked though and you were hoping this was just a 24 hour thing.
You were finally done and getting ready to leave when you felt a cool rag against your neck, sighing at the feeling. You hadnât even realized Sam had come in until he was standing right beside you.
âI was passing by to check on you and heard you. Here, come here.â He pulled you up slowly, supporting most of your weight as he washed your face off quickly and returned the rag to your neck. âBetter?â
You nodded, swallowing down the minor wave of nausea that had come again. âA little,â you told him.
He helped you back into bed, pulling the covers around you loosely. âWant some more water?â He asked, grabbing the empty cup.
âWill you bring me some toast or applesauce or something too?â
âYou bet,â he grinned.
It had only been half a minute or so before he was returning to your room, a big tumbler cup filled with ice water in one hand and a packet of applesauce and a spoon in another. âFeelinâ any better?â he asked, handing you the cup and sitting on the edge of your bed again. He began to open the packet of applesauce, sticking the spoon inside and waiting to trade you - the water for the applesauce.
âNot exactly,â you said, taking another little sip before handing him the cup back.
âI sent Dean off to the store. Heâs going to pick up some Gatorade and some more applesauce for you. Oh, and Lysol. He said he was going to get Lysol too,â Sam chuckled, trading you once again when you motioned for the cup back.
You swallowed the sip and let out a little sigh, âmight as well. I really hope neither of you catch this.â
âIâm sure we could handle it if we did,â he shrugged. âI mean, youâre handling it like a rock star, and if Dean or I get knocked down by the flu and you donât, thatâs really saying something,â he teased.
âRight,â you rolled your eyes, taking the applesauce back from him.
Sam placed his hand to your head again, this time smiling a bit. âYouâre not warm anymore. You feel feverish at all?â You shook your head at his question and traded him one last time: your now empty applesauce packet for the cup of water. âNeed anything else?â
âTo feel better,â you joked, producing a small smile, which caused Sam to smile too.
âIâm trying,â he chuckled halfheartedly. âIâm gonna work out. Iâll have my phone with me so donât hesitate to text or call, alright?â
âOkie dokie,â you hummed, settling back down in bed. You felt Samâs lips on your forehead, making your cheeks burn. He had never done that before. Heâd hug you a lot, big squishy bear hugs that ended in you being spun around before being set down, but heâd never kissed you. You passed it off as Sam feeling sorry for you. You were just friends anyway and you knew that it could be a friendly gesture too. You didnât have time to question it much before your eyes grew heavy and you fell into a semi-peaceful sleep.
You had woken up fully by about noon, just in time for Sam to walk in to check on you.
âHe sleepy head,â he whispered coming forward to sit on your bed. âNeed anything? Deanâs back with some Gatorade and ginger ale if you want that.â
âI think Iâm gonna take a bath, maybe see if thatâll help settle my stomach.â You could remember doing that as a kid and it always seemed to make you feel better even if just for an hour.
You pushed yourself up slowly, reminding yourself to relax and breathe and not jar your stomach too much. Sam helped you to stand and while you headed for the bathroom, he collected your water and phone for you, meeting you there and helping you get settled by turning the water on for you and grabbing you a towel.
âIâll be in my room just down the hall. Holler if you need anything. And I brought your phone if you need to text me. And some water, in case you get sick again.â
âThank you, Sam,â you hummed, shutting the door behind him.
Once out of your clothes, you settled into the ever rising bath water. The warm feeling washed over you quickly and you were beginning to relax and let your stomach calm down. You didnât wash anything, just simply lay there. Youâd be sure to take a shower once you were feeling better.
You lay there for close to 45 minutes before the water turned cold and you turned to a prune. You eased yourself out of the tub, grabbing your towel and wrapping it around yourself. Unfortunately, you were not in the clear as the nausea set in again and you were doubled over the toilet, heaving up what you had just eaten.
It took you a few minutes to calm down but once you had you made slow work in getting back into your pajamas. You stood up again, hanging your towel on the hook when your vision began to go spotty.
You slid down the wall, realizing that you were lacking a lot of fluids. You had just thrown up the sips of water and the applesauce you had, which meant you were back to having nothing in your stomach. You took a long drink from the tumbler before yelling for Sam.
âIâm decent,â you said when he had knocked on the door and poked his head in with his eyes closed tight. âEven if I wasnât Iâm not sure how or why youâd want me right now,â you mumbled mostly to yourself.
âBecause youâre beautiful either way.â Obviously your last comment was not as too yourself as you hoped, but Samâs reply did make you smile a bit. âWhatâs up? Did you get sick again?â
You nodded, but that wasnât the reason you needed him in here. âWill you help me to my room?â
âYeah,â he said quickly, âis everything okay?â
âI feel like Iâm gonna pass out,â you informed him, hanging your head between your knees like you had been taught to do if you ever got that feeling.
âHey, okay,â he soothed, kneeling in front of you. âLetâs not get up then. Letâs hang out here for a minute and let your body fix itself.â Sam reached for your water, positioning the straw in front of your mouth. âTake some drinks, relax, breathe,â he reminded you.
Sam sat with you for a few minutes, his hand gently rubbing your back and arms. You werenât even sure how long you had been sitting there but you couldâve dozed off had Sam not spoke up. âYou look like youâre gaining color back,â he commented. âReady to stand up?â
You nodded, letting Sam take most of your weight as he helped you up. Unfortunately, even with Sam supporting your weight, you still felt faint. âI gotta sit back down,â you sighed, tightening your grip on him to keep yourself from swaying.
Sam began to worry. He wondered if he should take you to the hospital. Usually after some water most people were okay to get up again, but with you swaying in his arms, he panicked. âHey, okay. Just hang in there. Iâm gonna get you back to your room, alright?â
âS-Sam I wonât be able to make it. Just let me sit down a minute,â you pleaded.
âJust⊠hold on, Y/N, okay? Iâm going to pick you up but I need you to hold on,â he asked gently. He set your water cup down, then easily scooped you up into his arms. âI got you. Just hold on,â he whispered, one hand grabbing the water and the other shutting off the bathroom light.
Sam gently laid you on your bed, tucking you under the duvet. âWait here,â he commanded. Like you were really going to get up anyway. You werenât even sure you could get up without falling back over.
You heard Sam yell to Dean, and then there were two sets of very quick footsteps. From there, it was a blur, but suddenly you could feel a cold wetness against your forehead. âYou feel sleepy, Y/N?â Sam asked, and you could tell he was right beside you, dragging what you assumed was a washcloth over your face. You nodded, your throat suddenly feeling dry and cottony. âDeanâs gonna bring you some Gatorade, okay?â
âI donât feel well,â you told him, straining to open your eyes. You had been thrown into walls and glass. Youâve been cut and stitched up and had dislocated shoulders and twisted or sprained ankles and nothing was as bad as this.
âI know,â he shushed, âjust try and relax.â
Before you knew it, a straw was being pressed to your lips and Sam was urging you to sip from it. He held what you could only assume was the bottle of Gatorade and still drug the wet rag across your forehead and down your cheeks.
âShe okay?â you heard Dean ask, much further away from Sam, so you guessed that he was by the door.
âI think so. Itâs just the flu, itâll be over before you know it.â You werenât sure if Sam was saying that to reassure you, Dean, or himself, but it was comforting.
âWell, donât you get sick too. I ainât babying you,â Dean huffed, and you could almost hear the smile on his face. âIâm in my bedroom if you need me.â
Sam thanked Dean and pretty soon you could hear his heavy footsteps heading further and further away.
âFeeling any better?â Sam asked, and you nodded in response. âStill tired?â another nod. âIâll let you get some sleep,â he hummed. âGatorade and water are on the bedside table, and if you need anything else just yell, okay?â
You felt the bed shift as he got up and you quickly grabbed onto his wrist, looking up at him with tired eyes. âWill you stay with me?â You asked. âI donât want to get you sick, but will you just sit here with me⊠incase something happens?â
âSure,â he happily stated. âDo you want me to lay down with you?â
âI donât want to get you sick,â you admitted shyly, but the truth was, yes, you wanted him to lay down with you and hold you and just somehow make you feel better by being with you.
âThatâs not what I asked, darlinâ,â he chuckled. âDo you want me to lay down with you?â
You nodded your head bashfully, âyes, please.â
Sam was in your bed just moments later. He shifted quite a bit to get comfortable, then waited for you to shift as well. Eventually, you rested with your head on his chest and his arm around you. One of his hands was resting on your hip, while the other was gently stroking the now damp rag over your forehead and cheeks again. Soon, the washcloth was rested against your forehead and his hands locked over your waist, holding you tightly to him.
You woke up hours later with your head still plastered against Samâs chest. His arms were still locked around you and he was peacefully sleeping underneath you. His chest rose and fell with his steady breaths, and every so often youâd hear an almost inaudible snore leave his lips.
You shifted, trying to ease yourself out of the giant manâs arms, but, the slightest movement woke him. Hunter trait. âY/N?â he hummed, peeking his eyes open and looking down at you. âHey. You okay?â
You nodded, shifting again and bringing your hands up to rub your eyes. âWhat time is it?â
Sam hummed, shifting from underneath you to grab his phone. âLittle after eight. You feel okay?â He asked turning back to you and slinging his arms over you again.
ââM kinda hungryâŠâ you mentioned, looking up at him.
Sam smiled a bit and nodded. He removed his arms from around you then stretched them over his head, groaning as he did. âWhat dâyou want to eat?â He rolled off of your bed to be standing beside it, running his fingers through his tussled hair.
You slowly sat yourself up, stretching your arms and legs out. You moaned, twisting to the side and feeling your sore stomach muscles. You knew they hurt from how much heaving you did earlier.
âYou alright?â Sam asked quickly as he heard you moan, coming by your side in an instant.
âMy sides hurt,â you said with a low chuckle, cringing at the pain again.
âMmh. Yeah you were heaving pretty hard,â Sam teased, chuckling himself. âIâll get you a heating pad and⊠how do you feel about chicken noodle soup?â
âBoth sound wonderful, Sam.â
âOkay. Iâll be right back.â
âHey wait,â you spoke up as Sam was nearing the door. âIâm gonna come with you.â You swung your legs over the side of the bed, pushing yourself up slowly.
Sam walked back to you, holding you steady as you stood. âYou sure? I donât want you to almost pass out again.â
You smiled a bit, holding onto his outstretched hand for support. âI feel fine. I just wanna walk around a bit. I havenât left my bed unless it was to puke and iâm getting antsy.â
Sam walked you at a slow pace to the kitchen. You were feeling significantly better, just starving and your stomach was making that well known with its growls. Every time it did, Sam would chuckle, which would make you giggle too and then moan at the aching pain in your sides.
You sat down at the table, per Samâs request, and watched as he moved around the room, pouring the canned soup in a pan and then setting it on the burner before sitting across from you.
âYou look much better. You scared meâŠâ he paused, âa-and Dean. Me and Dean,â he corrected himself. âI was worried we mightâve had to take you to the hospital.â
Hesitantly, you leaned over and kissed his cheek lightly. âThank you for taking care of me,â you whispered. You werenât sure if youâd still be functioning right now had he not kept up with you and did his best to make you feel better.
Samâs cheeks reddened and he bowed his head to hide the blush. âYeah.â He drug a hand through his hair and scratched the back of his head nervously. âAll I expect is that youâll take care of me if I end up getting what you had.â
âI promise. But I donât think Iâll be able to lift you from the floor if you almost pass out,â you chuckled, hands flying to your sides.
Lucky for you both, Sam didnât end up getting what you had. Dean, however, did and you never heard the end of it.

Prompt: Sam and Y/N spend their first Christmas together, complete with silly pajamas, many of presents, and special confessions.Â
Master List
A/N: Well, this was supposed to come out on Christmas, but I failed. Iâm just getting back into writing after my mini break, so forgive me for how long this is. And youâre welcome for all the fluff thatâs come from this.
You woke up with Sam by your side. Per his request, and to your excitement, you spent the night. He was still sleeping when you woke up, which surprised you because you were the one who rolled in late.
You had all morning to spend with Sam and after you were heading to your dad's house for dinner and presents with your family. You and Sam had skipped the whole âlet's not get each other a giftâ Â discussion, knowing youâd break that agreement anyway. You did agree though that nothing could exceed 50 dollars. It gave you a good price range and you knew you could get multiple gifts without going over that amount.
Sam stirred beside you, stretching his arm over your side to hook around your back and pull you closer to him, soaking in the warmth of your body. âMerry Christmas Eve, Y/N,â he whispered sleepily.
âMerry Christmas Eve, Sam,â you replied brushing your nose against his in hopes to wake him up a bit more, but if anything, it only seemed to make him more tired.
You were very close to falling asleep again when Sam broke the silence. âThank you for staying over. Iâm sure by Sunday night weâll be sick of each other.â
âNever,â you confessed, âI'm very happy to be spending these next two days with you.â
âMmh. Me too,â he agreed and it wasn't long after that comment that you were drifting off again with Sam following short behind.
Sam had hung his mistletoe in the doorway of his room and he didnât hesitate to pull you in for a kiss when you finally drug yourselves out of bed at nearly two in the afternoon. You weren't sleeping they entire time, just relaxing with each other and talking, enjoying it being just the two of you for the time being.
Sam made pancakes while you showered and got ready for the day, you ate together at his table, enjoying the calm and quiet of each other's company. When Sam went up to shower, you cleaned the dishes and when he was done, it was just about time to head out for a celebration with your family.
âAuntie Y/N!â You nephew yelled as he sprinted to the door, barreling right into your legs. âMerry Cwismas!â
âMerry Christmas Bryce,â you sang, lifting him onto your hip.
âSam!â He yelled, noticing the man who had followed you in. âGracie! Unca Sammy is here with Auntie Y/N!â
Right on cue, the toddler came running to the front door, requesting to be held the second she saw Sam. You were so happy that your family had taken well to Sam, and not just the little ones.
Your brother was first to step into the living room from his space in the kitchen, greeting you with a hug and one for Sam as well. âMerry Christmas,â he spoke.
âMerry Christmas,â the two of you told him, following him into the kitchen where you were greeted by your dad and Ava.
You set your bag on the table as you took a seat on the chair with Bryce still in your lap. Sam sat beside you and Gracie situated herself on Samâs lap, making herself comfortable and making you and Sam both chuckle.
âDada and Grampa are makinâ ham,â Bryce announced, âand botatoes, and salad.â You grinned at the face the four-year-old made when it came to the word salad.
âSounds delicious.â You smiled down at your nephew, pushing his long locks away from his eyes. âAre you excited for Santa to come tonight?â
âYes!â He beamed, staring at you with wide eyes. âGracie and I have been really really good this year, huh mommy?â He turned to his mother then, looking at her with the same big eyes he stared at you with. You knew he got that look from his father, a trait that he taught himself when he was about Bryceâs age.
âVery good,â Ava confirmed, nodding to you.
âOh good! You know Santa once gave your daddy coal,â you teased.
âHey, quit tellinâ my kid lies!â Jake warned, waving a spoon in your direction. âIt was your Auntie Y/N who got coal, not me.â
Sam gasped and you turned to him and rolled your eyes. âIt was Jake-â
âIt was not! Dad, who got coal me or Y/N?â The two of you sounded like kids again, arguing over just about everything: who got the last bit of cereal, who got the toy in the Cracker Jack, who's turn it was to do dishesâŠ
âYou both did. Santa hung it on Jakeâs stocking, but I remember the note saying it was for both of you,â your dad piped in to calm the storm that was your arguing. He was best at that, growing up, Dadâs specialty was making sure you and Jake didnât kill each other.
Jake scoffed, turning his attention back to salad he was currently working on throwing together. With a bit of a victorious smirk, even though the coal was for both of you, you turned your attention back to your niece and nephew.
âGracie, are you excited for santa to come?â you heard Sam ask the little girl.
She nodded her head, blonde curls bouncing in excitement. âAwe you esited for Sana ta come?â
âOf course Iâm excited for Santa to come!â Sam responded, âYou think Iâve been good this year?â he asked Gracie, who nodded again.
âEtsept, you stolded Auntieâs heart. Steawing is mean.â
The whole room erupted into laughter at little Gracieâs comment. A blush rose on your cheeks too, as you were sure she remembered hearing that from her father when you last saw them. At least she knew that stealing was wrong, that was all that really mattered.
Sam cleared his throat, settling the room down before speaking, âthis is one case where stealing isnât bad. If I stole her heart, it means she really likes me. And I really like her. She stole my heart too,â he clarified, making your cheeks darken in color still.
âOh,â she noted.
Bryce cocked his head in confusion, looking between you and Sam, âDoes that mean you traded hearts?â
You laughed, shaking your head. You shot a quick âsee what you startedâ look to your brother before turning to face Bryce. âNo sweetie. Itâs just a saying for when you really like someone. He didnât actually take my heart and I didnât take his.â
There was no more talk about you and Samâs love life after dinner. The kids had become so distracted with eating that there wasnât much time for talking, at least, not unless their mouths were full and it was about how excited they were for santa and presents and snow.
Before you even knew it, the sun had gone down and you were settling down in the living room for another family tradition, watching How The Grinch Stole Christmas on Christmas Eve. Gracie had conked out just minutes into the short movie, but Bryce held through the entire thing.
âShould we wake Gracie up for presents?â you asked, remembering the bag you had set by the table earlier that held the presents you and Sam would be giving to the kids. Of course, you had included one for Jake and Ava and for your dad too, but most of it was for the kids.
Bryce couldnât contain his excitement at the mention of presents, quickly hopping off the couch and sprinting to the kitchen to grab your bag. You, Jake and Sam all worked to wake the sleeping toddler, who really was less than excited about being up so late, but when Bryce came back with the presents and you told little Gracie you wanted her to open her gifts, she was more than happy to deal with being woken up.
You watched the two tore into their gifts. If you didnât know any better youâd say they were more excited to rip the paper off than to actually get the gift. They made a mess, that was one thing you were sure of.
Sam had gotten the two of them books. You told him they loved reading, and he was more than happy to pick up some childrenâs books for them. Bryce had been really into sports lately, so you got him a plastic t-ball set, which he was ecstatic about. You got Gracie an art set, as she had become obsessed with drawing and painting. You also got each of the kids their own little bag of chocolates, not that they needed it but who could resist christmas candy?
You got your dad a book, one that heâd been talking about for quite some time now. He still gave you the spiel on how you didnât have to get him anything, but graciously accepted the gift anyway.
Of course, you couldnât get away without receiving some gifts of your own. You dad had given you some movies youâd been wanting to see, and gave Sam a six pack of his homebrewed beer. He also gave you two some money for a date night, which you knew would be put to good use, as Sam was already planning some winter themed dates.
You decided to head out shortly after, wanting to beat the storm that was supposed to come in that night. After goodbyes were said, you headed out to Samâs truck, realizing that you hadnât quite missed the storm. The snow was falling heavily outside, already sticking to the ground.
âAt least itâll be a white Christmas,â you giggled, blowing on your cold hands as you hopped into Samâs even colder truck.
âThat means Momâs gonna make Dean and me shovel first thing in the morning,â he groaned, though he was just as happy about the snow as you were.
When you got to the Winchesterâs house, the lights were still on, and everyone seemed to still be awake. It surprised you at first, realizing that it was nearing ten oâclock, but it was Christmas Eve and you were sure they were waiting up to make sure you and Sam made it there safely.
Sam grabbed your hand, helping you out of his truck as you arrived. The ground was wet and slippery, and you had a death latch on Samâs arm as you made your way up the tiny hill to the front door.
Sam, with full knowledge that everyone was still awake, walked inside, announcing his and your presence. You found the family in the living room, gathered around the TV and watching was looked to be The Polar Express.
âJust in time,â Mary announced, turning the volume down on the movie that was playing. She crossed the room, pulling her youngest son into a hug first and then giving you one as well. âWeâre so happy to have you here for Christmas, Y/N,â she told you, and you could tell that she meant it.
âCan we do the present now?â Dean asked, sounding like a little kid who so desperately wanted to look at his presents.
âPresent?â You inquired. Sam had said nothing about presents.
Sam put his hand on your lower back, pushing you further into the main room. âEvery year, mom and dad give us a Christmas Eve box. Itâs nothing big, just something special for the night before Christmas.â
âDonât worry,â Mary assured, âthere is a box for you too.â
You sat down with Sam in front of the tree, the three of you forming a little half circle. Mary handed you each a box, about the size of a shoebox. Dean and Sam both opened theirs quickly, and from the looks of it, each box was roughly the same, with a few minor differences. In yours were christmas themed pajamas, some cookie mix in a jar, a few packets of hot chocolate, popcorn, and an ornament. âThank you, Mary,â you grinned, standing up to hug her.
âWe have to wear these tonight you know,â Sam chuckled, already pulling his pajamas out of his box.
âOh, I wouldnât dream of doing anything else!â You laughed.
You headed for the bathroom as Sam and Dean headed for their bedroomâs to change. You couldnât help but laugh at the pajamas. It was a red onesie, zipping up in the front with a little bear claw on the chest pocket, but the back of it was a button velcro flap on the butt, that read âbear bottomâ on it.
You giggled, emerging from the bathroom at the same time Sam and Dean came out of their bedrooms. Dean was in a blue onesie, similar to yours, but his read âtail endâ on the back and had a hoofprint on the front. Sam had a moose hoofprint on his front and the back of his read âmoose caboose.â
The giggles and chuckles continued all the way down the stairs, mostly at each other, but the good thing was that you could all laugh at yourselves too. Mary and John joined in upon seeing the pajamas they had purchased. Mary even commented saying, âbest Christmas present yet,â which had the laughter growing louder.
Once pictures were taken, and everyone had dried their tears from laughter, you all decided to turn in for the night, but not before Mary gave you a rundown of the bedroom rules. âWe wonât spy on you and I donât care if you kiss and cuddle, but there will be absolutely no sex in this house from you two,â she warned, which made you blush because truthfully, you hadnât even thought that far ahead. âThe door cannot be shut all the way and the nightlight in the hall needs to stay on. If you get cold, there are extra blankets in the hall closet and the bathroom is right beside it. Good?â
âGood,â you nodded, partially intimidated by the rules, but you had no reason to be. The most you have done, or would do with Sam at this point was kissing. You were happy that Mary was letting you two sleep in the same room in the first place.
âUnderstood. Goodnight, mom.â Sam leaned forward, wrapping his mother into a tight hug. âWeâll see you in the morning.â
âBright and early, Samuel. The walks are going to be bad.â
âGoodnight, Mary.â You took your turn in hugging her. âAnd thank you for the pajamas. Theyâre very comfortable.â You shared a laugh, before she was returning your goodnights and headed down to her own room to sleep.
It took a minute to get comfortable. Samâs childhood bed was much different than the one at his place, or yours. It was smaller, not as soft and you were surprised it fit the two of you, but soon enough you found yourself wrapped around each other, right in the middle of the bed, with just enough wiggle room on each side - there was more on Samâs, but you had the wall, so you werenât complaining.
Samâs fingers gently brushed up and down your arm, soothing you and himself. It was quiet for quite some time before Sam let out a low chuckle. You heard it rumble in his chest, then exhale past his lips and when it did, you turned your face up to his. âWhat?â
âIâve never had a girl in this bed before,â he chuckled again, his cheeks reddening at his own statement. You couldnât help but blush too. Surely, he had brought girls home to meet his parents, and surely he had brought girls home to his own home before, but something about being the only girl to ever sleep in this bed with him, was special.
âNever?â You challenged. You wanted to know more and hopefully he was comfortable with sharing more. You wondered if he had indeed brought a girl here to stay the night but she slept in a spare room or on the couch. You were curious, especially now that he had opened up the floor to questions with his statement.
Sam shook his head, well prepared to give an answer, almost like he knew you would ask. âNever. Not even Jessica. She used to stay over really late, especially when we were off for the breaks, but she always said she felt uncomfortable sleeping next to me when my family was just down the hall. Momâs always been okay with her staying, and gave me and Jess the same rules she just gave you and I but Jess never wanted to,â he paused, clearing his throat, âwe didn't even spend Christmas together âtil our last one. She was usually with her parents and I was with mine. We didn't do presents on Christmas day; it would usually be the day after, or whenever I saw her next.â
You rested your chin on his chest, looking up at him when you spoke, âIâm very happy to be spending Christmas with you.â
Sam smiled, leaning down to kiss your lips. âMe too,â another kiss. âSo can I ask, what about you and Corbin, did you two spend every Christmas together?â
âPretty much,â you nodded, âour first Christmas we spent together we were in our own house, so we invited both our families over for dinner that night. That ended up just being what we did every year. We did gifts, hung out with our families and then the night was over.â
âWell, Iâm glad we get to do something christmasy with both our families, together. Spending the afternoon with your family was a lot of fun, and Iâm glad youâre here tonight and youâll be here tomorrow for Christmas with my family. Though, with all the time Iâve spent with you, I donât think Iâll be able to let you go come Sunday night.â He nuzzled his cheek against the top of your head as his arms tightened around your waist.
You giggled, feeling the slight scruff on his cheeks brush against your hair. âDuty calls, Sam. Itâs just something youâre going to have to deal with, yâknow dating a doctor and all,â you bragged.
âAs long as I get to tell everyone Iâm dating a hot doctor, I guess Iâm okay with it,â he yawned, âbesides, those babies need you more than I do.â
âGoodnight, Sam,â you hummed, resting your ear against his chest, hearing the faint beat of his heart as the two of you drifted off.
You woke up to the smell of coffee and a cold bed on Christmas morning. The sheets were neatly tucked around you, but the warm figure you had been curled up against all night long was no longer there. Instead, the side of the bed was cold, like he had been gone for a little while now.
Pulling yourself out of the warm covers, you quickly picked up your phone from the nightstand. It was just about 8 oâclock, and you figured Sam was already downstairs with his family. You were a little embarrassed, as you padded down the stairs, though when you entered the living room, it was empty, save for the tree and the gifts that were scattered underneath it.
Your nose led you to the kitchen, where Mary Winchester was standing next to the stove, a pot of coffee brewing beside her. âGood morning,â you spoke, hoping not to startle the older woman.
âMorning, Y/N. Sam and John are outside shoveling. Coffee?â she asked, but before you could answer she was turning around and placing a warm cup in your hands. âSam made it earlier for you and asked me to keep it warm. I just reheated it, so it should be nice and hot.â
âThank you,â you responded, taking a sip of the warm beverage, made just how you like it with a bit of cream and sugar. âIâll be sure to thank Sam later as well. Whereâs Dean at?â you asked, realizing she had yet to mention her oldest son.
âPresumably, asleep. If that boy has a day off, he likes to sleep in. Iâm surprised Samâs not still asleep too, or at least still in bed with you,â Mary answered, coming around to sit with you at the table.
âHe was pretty set on helping John this morning, especially after you warned him last night that heâd have to shovel.â
Mary laughed, sipping from her own cup of coffee. âAt least he listens, right?â You giggled, agreeing with her. âWould you like some kringle? Thereâs kringle on the counter, if youâre hungry,â she offered.
âIâve never had kringle before, so I promised Sam he could be around when I tried some for the first time. And, as hungry as I am, Iâll just wait until theyâre done,â you assured. You wanted to keep your promise to Sam, and hopefully the kringle would be as good as he had made it seem to be. You didnât want to try it just to not like it.
âThey should be in soon. They started around 7:30, and itâs not that big of a driveway, or sidewalk.â
As if they had been by the door, waiting, the two men walked in, red faced and breathing heavy. âSpeak of the devils,â you chuckled, taking in Samâs appearance as he began stripping out of his jacket and gloves and boots.
âGood morning,â Sam grinned, making his way to you and planting a chastile kiss to your lips. His hand came up to cradle your cheek, but you were quick to pull away from the cold touch.
âYour hands are like ice,â you commented.
Sam huffed out a laugh, nodding, âI know! I was outside shoveling, thank you very much.â Sam reached over you and snatched up your coffee cup, cupping his hands around the warm mug before taking a drink.
âHey! That was mine, thank you very much!â you mocked, trying to reach up for it, but his height got the best of you.
âI made it,â he retorted, taking one more drink before setting it down. âThank you, very much.â This time he sounded sincere, like he was actually thanking you for sharing - against your will, you might add.
âYou two bicker like an old married couple,â a grumpy Dean sounded from the doorway, clothed in his pajamas from last night and a green robe. âOooh, kringle!â His bitterness was over as he went straight for the pastry and started pile piece after piece into his hands.
âWait!â Sam interrupted, âsave some for Y/N, sheâs never even had kringle before!â
âNever had kringle? Well, whatâre you waiting for, eat!â Dean placed a rather large piece in front of you, finding himself a seat at the table to enjoy his own pieces.
Sam let go of your shoulders, âno, not yet! I need my camera!â You groaned and rolled your eyes. Obviously whatever this dessert treat was, it was a big deal to have your first bite.
And it was no wonder they were making a big deal out of it, because when you took your first bite, you realized why. The almond filling, plus the icing on top all threaded together with the pastry dough was heaven in your mouth. You were now seeing why Dean piled his hand high with the sweet treat. You gave Sam a thumbs up, with your mouth still full, trying not to laugh when Sam took a picture of you like that.
Presents were next. You all had moved into the living room with your respective cups of coffee and gathered around the tree. John had turned the tv on, noticing that A Christmas Story was just starting. âAnother Winchester family tradition is to watch this movie while opening presents,â Sam informed you.
You, Sam, and Dean separated the presents into their respective piles. One for John, one for Mary, one for Sam, one for Dean and one for you.
âGo ahead, open âem up,â Mary announced, and you watched as Sam and Dean both picked up a present, reading off who it was from before tearing into the paper. âYou too, Y/N,â she nudged, and you nodded, grabbing one of your presents too to open.
Mary had gotten you a few clothes - you assumed Sam had let her know what size you wore - as well as a new planner for the next year, something you had mentioned to Sam you wanted, and were very happy to receive from his mom. John had got some pens and paper clips to go with the journal. He was unsure what to get you, so besides the pens, he got you a gift card to your favorite store, and you were more than happy with just that. As a joke, Dean had given you a new stethoscope, but you informed him you had been needing a new one, and he was very pleased with himself for getting it. âSantaâ had gotten each of you a new calendar, as well as some chocolate to eat.
You were most excited for Samâs gifts though, but that was a bit of a given. With five gifts total, he reminded you that he didnât go over 50 dollars when you became a bit suspicious. The first gift you opened was some fruit flavored chewy candy, something sugary that you could eat to stay up during your long days. He got you a wintery scented candle to go with the throw blanket and book he got you as well. The last thing Sam got you was a necklace, a stereotypical romantic gift, but you loved it. It was a small gold leaf, with a pearl attached to a gold chain. It wasnât hard to realize why he had bought it; Autumn was what brought you two together.
âThank you, Sam,â you gushed, leaning forward to kiss him quickly. âI love them.â
You had gotten Mary some new hand towels and some lotion she had once mentioned was her favorite. You gave John some of your fathers homebrewed beer and a beer glass to go with it. Not too soon after, John was putting a bottle in the fridge, letting you know heâd be drinking it later. Dean received a bottle of his favorite whiskey from you, and the both of you thanked Sam for helping you pick that out for him.
You waited eagerly as Sam opened his presents from you. You felt a bit bad, having only gotten him three things. The first was a new case for his laptop, as he mentioned needed one. His old one was starting to tear, and the zipper on it had broken too. You bought him another SD card for his camera, this one less gigabytes than his other, but it still gave him two instead of just one. The last thing you got him was a bit cheesy, but you thought it was cute. It was a jar filled with chocolate kisses and under the lid you had written, âkisses for when Iâm not around.â His face reddened and he smiled at that one. âWell, since you are around,â he began and then leaned over to kiss you. âThank you, baby.â
Night came sooner than you hoped, and you did have to go back to work at 11. You ate a simple dinner with Samâs family and thanked them one last time for the wonderful Christmas, before he was driving you to your apartment.
After spending the last two days with him, you really did not want to tell him goodbye. It was the best Christmas Eve and Christmas you had ever had, or at least the best youâd had in years. You invited Sam in, though it was nearing 9:30 and you really needed to shower and get yourself ready to go.
You drug out the final goodbye for twenty minutes before he announced that he really should let you get ready. With a sad laugh, you agreed. âThank you for a wonderful Christmas. I was very happy to spend it with you and your family,â you said, wrapping your arms around his torso.
âAnd thank you for a wonderful Christmas Eve. Iâm glad you could stay the night and Iâm glad we could spend some time with your family as well. Those kids are just darling, and I was happy to get to see your brother and dad again.â
You stood on your toes, pressing a kiss to his lips. You listened to him chuckle shortly after you had pulled away. âGod, and I was so sure youâd be sick of me by now,â you mentioned.
âNo,â Sam breathed, shaking his head, âif anything, Iâm more in love with you now than before.â Without realizing it, Sam had just admitted to you that he loved you. It didnât register until he caught a glimpse of your face: shocked, eyebrows furrowed in confusion and your mouth slightly agape. âY/N⊠sh-shit, I didnât⊠I mean, I did, I do mean that, I just- I shouldnât have- I shouldnât have said it yet, Iâm s-â
âWait,â you interrupted, noticing that he was trying to pull himself away from you. His cheeks were flushed, though the rest of his face was pale. âS-Sam, I⊠I love you too, you just caught me off guard.â
âReally?â His face began to regain color with your confession. âYouâre not just saying that because I said it first, right?â
âN-No!â you stammered, âNot at all. Sam, I really do love you, I just wasnât sure you loved me back. I didnât want to rush into anything. Iâve known since the night you came to the hospital after I called you, upset, and you stayed with me.â
âThanksgiving, Thanksgiving was when I realized I loved you. Watching you bond with my whole family, and watching you with your niece and nephew, I knew I loved you then.â He threw his head back, chuckling lightly before he looked at you again. âI love you, Y/N,â he whispered.
âI love you too, Sam,â you responded, your eyes tearing up slightly from his confession. Before tears could fall, you pressed your lips to his. His hand cupped the back of your head while his free arm fitted around your waist, pulling you flush against him. It was probably only thirty seconds, but felt like five minutes by the time you two had pulled away. âI really have to get ready to go though,â you breathed out, making him sigh.
âI guess I should head home. Iâll call you, tomorrow, sweetheart,â he said, pulling himself away from you.
You nodded, your hands the only thing that were still connected now. âGoodnight, Sam,â you murmured, frowning a bit when his hand finally slipped free of yours as he opened the door.
âGoodnight, Y/N.â
When you were sure Sam was out of earshot, you screeched, bouncing up and down softly on your feet. You felt like a million butterflies were free in your stomach, and you were sure your heart was racing. You simply couldnât wait to tell Josie about this news.
After every hunt Sam and Dean would just drink a few beers and look up at the stars.
Dean would like to imagine everyone heâd lost was just looking down at him and his brother with a smile.
Sam would like to think Jess was waiting for him. That batch of cookies that he never got to eat waiting for him. She always made the best cookies.
You on the other hand. You were always there, even when they didnât know it. Youâd hunted with them and theyâd think youâd left but you could never leave those boys.
You decided that this time youâd make yourself known. But you knew what would happen. Dean pointed a gun at you. Sam beleived you were you again.
âNot everyone who goes to hell stays in hell Deaneo. You of all people know thatâ I said. No one but you knew that nickname. Youâd only call him that if you were alone.
You seen something change in his demeanor. He knew then you were really you.
âY/N? H-How? You died! I held you in my arms as you died!â
âIâve no idea Dean. All I know is, I missed my boysâ you replied.
He near ran to you and pulled you into a passionate kiss. The love in this kiss was over flowing. You could feel the tears flowing down his face.
He pulled away from your lips and held you against him as he layed his forehead against yours.
âIâm back and Iâm not leaving you again Dean. â
Sam was on the car smiling. He missed you! You were his best friend after all. He just pulled you in for a tight hug, you didnât care that it was hurting you.
You screamed as Castile popped into the shower behind you, in fact you didnât remember how you got to the shower, you didnât even recognise the building you were in until you grabbed a towel and ran into the bunkers war room with a towel clutched around you.
âEw gross (Y/N), clothing!â Sam yelped.
âSam⊠youâre Sam Winchester!â You gawked at him and he pulled a face as if he didnât get your joke.
âYou ok, did Cas zap you somewhere to fast?â he chuckled and you continued to stare at him.
âWhatâre you guys making so much noise for?â Dean jumped when you screamed again and stared at you like you were a lit stick of dynamite. âWhatâd Cas do Zap her out too fast?â
âThis is insane⊠not real canât be real⊠weird⊠just wake up (Y/N).â you whispered to yourself over and over.
âI apologise for startling you, you normally encourage me to join you in the shower.â Castiel muttered as he popped into the room next to you, an adorable lopsided grin on his face.
âDo not want to know guys, come on.â Sam groaned.
âOk all of you need to stop because youâre not real and I have officially gone mad⊠should have listened when they said my obsession with Supernatural would get to me.â You shrieked and hurried back the way you came.
âDid I zap her somewhere to fast?â Cas muttered quietly as he plodded after you.
  **************************
âWe have been looking for you.â Castiel muttered and you nodded.
âI needed a minute.â You whispered and he sat beside you watching you intently as you stared forward. âIâm so confused and everything seems very complicated.â
âIt isnât really.â Cas muttered and looked over at a pair of birds hopping across the road. âClearly something in the Bunker has given you the ability to live in another dimension while you sleep⊠leading you to believe that this is all fake.â
âReally?â you asked nervously and he nodded.
âYes, I would know if it was something else.â He said decisively.
âOh yeah, how?â Your question had him smiling shyly to himself.
âBecause I can tell that youâre still my (Y/N) ⊠I would know if there was something different about you.â The angel grinned when you blushed and laughed.Â
âBut I donât remember me⊠anything about me.â You admitted and he took your hand, letting it settle in your lap as his thumb rubbed circles against it.â
âWe will fix it, we always fix it.â He said fondly before placing a chaste kiss on your forehead.
