Finally, my arm is getting a little better, and I do hope I can draw a bit more this summer again. We'll see if that happens.

It would have been impossible to surprise Ruki in the morning, for he was always up before Yuriko. Sometimes even Tsukimi was awake before her. But now, everything was perfect. So, while Ruki was having a father-daughter moment outside, Yuriko worked in the kitchen and, in the end, set the table. 

Yuriko had never made such a dish before. Ciorbă de fasole. She couldn’t even pronounce the name. But it smelled and looked decent. Next to Ruki’s plate, she put a small gift bag with two tiny gifts.

As Ruki and Tsukimi roamed in, the baby girl snoozing happily, Yuriko welcomed them home and pecked Ruki’s cheek.

“Happy Father’s Day, Ruki~”

Sorry, I know it's not the 16th anymore. This was ready on my PC... but you know, how the weekend was...

Yuriko's behavior in the morning was a little suspicious. However with the prospect of some father-daughter time, the vampire let it slide and did not think too much about possible reasons.

Now he enjoyed the fresh air and focused on the quality time with Tsukimi. Watching his daughter, Ruki found it still amusing how she literally 'fought' with the wind. Oh how fascinating babies can be...

Time flew by and the exploration team called it a day. Nap time for the little angel.

As soon as they entered, an unusual but delicious scent crept into the vampire's nose. Was this what Yuriko had in mind earlier?

Together with Tsukimi, Ruki entered the dining room where the kitsune was already waiting for the two. The young woman's beaming was impossible to miss and surprise spread across Ruki's face. He had never paid attention to this special day before. But now he was a father too. Slowly, joy emerged and Ruki smiled widely.

"Thank you, Yuriko."

A peck on the cheek was not enough to express what the vampire was feeling at that moment. A smooch full of love on the lips was appropriate. Ruki was sure that this was the best way for Yuriko to understand his emotions.

"I have to admit you caught me off guard."

He brushed her cheek lovingly. "Such a nice surprise." Happily, the dark-haired man grinned and sat down with Tsukimi sleeping in his arms. "Come on, let us eat your food, my angel."

What a successful Father's Day. Ruki enjoyed the meal prepared by Yuriko to the fullest and was very happy about the gifts. Eventually, he sneaked out a little later and changed Tsukimi's clothes to present his little 'unicorn' to his brothers.

"Just kiddin'. Congrats, Sis and Ruki!"

April 4th, First Meeting Anniversary with @ruki-mukami-dl

"Umh... Ruki... Do you still remember that day? I mean... Well, it was more like night..." A hot wave flashed over Yuriko's face even though the spring day was cool and windy. Not too cold for a kitsune, but not warm enough to make her sweat. Yet, it seemed her face was slowly burning more and more.

A faint smile jumped on Ruki's lips. "That night, fufu?" He chuckled softly. "When you almost walked into me in the school's library?"

Slowly, Yuriko nodded. "It was... April 4th. I have just started at the Ryoutei Academy."

"And all I saw was docile livestock," Ruki admitted, drawing closer a smile still lingering on his lips. It revealed the tips of his fangs. "Yet you turned out to be much more than that."

He stepped closer, grabbing Yuriko into his embrace and lifting her while the sakura petals danced in the air. "Meeting you changed my life for good, and I would never go back to that endless night. You truly are my very own Yuriko."
