IM ONLY GONNA SAY IT ONCE:
- just because jedi culture didn’t provide the support that anakin needed for his traumas (at age 9 because he had already formed attachments, and he was a slave) doesn’t mean it failed all the hundreds of other children who grew up happy
- just bc the jedi are a protagonist group that doesn’t focus on the typical “i would do anything for my friends” trope, doesn’t mean they are evil or heartless. individuals will make mistakes, does not mean the whole order is horrible or cold.
- THEY AREN’T A CULT. jedi children are allowed to view the rest of the world how it is, and are permitted to leave the order if they so desire. they’re a religious order, so they follow some obligations, but members can leave. parents are allowed to refuse them.
- you can think living by the jedi code is terrible, but doesn’t mean it is?? they’re a minority with different views, so of course you don’t need to get along. but blaming a whole culture for the actions of one person (who was manipulated from birth basically) is not logical.
“THEY DIDN’T DESERVE TO BE MASS MURDERED.!” is basically my point.
