Spiderman/Spandex Suits
I’ve been getting asked where I get my spidey suits and also my princess Allura suit both on tumblr and irl. I hope this post helps The two companies I get my suits from are The RPC Studio and Zentai Zone. Both companies offer custom sizing which is a plus cause you can get a suit that fits your body a lot better and feels comfortable. Both companies print their suits on 4 way white stretch lycra as well but there is some differences so I’m going to post both pros and cons that I have noticed with both companies The RPC Studio
This suit is printed and sewn by RPC Studio Pros: -Thicker spandex -Better print quality -Colors are more vibrant -Custom sizing is spot on -Suit stitching is stronger and durable Cons: -Suits are more expensive (Anywhere between 200-300 dollars depending on options) -Wait time for suits varies and can range, anywhere between 1-4 months -If there’s an issue with the suit, you’ll have to mail the old suit back and they will replace it, (Not a bad thing but it makes waiting for a suit longer) Zentai Zone
This suit is printed and sewn by Zentai Zone Pros: -Cheaper (anywhere between 75-95 dollars depending on options) -Quicker turn around time (2-3 weeks) -If they mess up the suit, they will replace it as long as you pay for shipping -Colors are vibrant Cons: -Thinner spandex (causes colors to get white washed when spandex is stretched) -Pills easily (Due to thinner spandex) -Custom sizing is kind of hit or miss in some areas (Not a major problem since suits stretch) Both suits look absolutely amazing don’t get me wrong. It really comes down to how much you want to spend on a suit and how long you are willing to wait for one. Also RPC suits have the option of having shoes installed into the suit which is a lot better than having soles attached. I will say this though, if you are planning on cosplaying a Spider-verse character and this will be your first time wearing a spandex suit, I would recommend going with Zentai Zone because they are cheaper and if you end up not liking how naked and how body hugging tight spandex suits feel, at least you didn’t spend a lot of money.
