So after running the Fiery Gizzard Trail Marathon I was dead, totally dead. There were times I was ready to kill someone. It was a total suffer fest and my time was utter dog shit, BUT... If given the chance I fully plan on doing it again next year. It reminded me how we don't Fuck around when I comes to trail marathons in this part of the country and it's time to step up my game. Here's another interesting story for me from the #roughtrail50k If you'll notice, this runner is wearing sandals. Running sandals have recently become a thing and are a natural extension of the barefoot running cult (which I'm a part of). The style of these sandals is very much in line with the type of sandals the Tahumara (a Mexican tribe of ultra runners) wear.
