Roast Pork and Kugel

Stiles rubbed his stomach, which was completely stuffed from his and Melissa McCall’s Thanksgiving feast. He had carefully prepared the Polish dishes that his mother used to make along with some of the more traditional American sides while Melissa had taken meticulous (and delicious!) care of the turkey and stuffing and the rest of the sides, including some Mexican dishes. “That meal was absolute heaven, wasn’t it, Derek?”

“It was,” came Derek’s voice from behind him where he was locking the front door.

Stiles and Derek had been together for nearly six years and they had lived at Derek’s loft for most of those. Now they were living in their first house together that they’d just bought a few months ago. They had finally finished furnishing their house a few weeks ago, so they weren‘t up to hosting Thanksgiving themselves just yet. Stiles’ father had hosted Thanksgiving dinner like he usually did, inviting Stiles and Derek along with Scott and Melissa McCall. But Stiles and Derek were planning on just having Christmas for just the two of them at the new house. “So now let’s plan our very special wolfy Christmas in our personal wolfy den!” Stiles declared, his eyes twinkling with mischief, plopping down on their very comfortable plush sofa.

I was wondering how you feel about podfic of your work? (its like audiobooks for fanfiction). I love your writing and I didn't see a permission statement (a statement on how you feel about people making transformative works from your works - podfics, fanart, translations, etc) on your ao3 profile.

I would like to do a podfic of your Sterek fic "Resolutions Are Made to Be Broken"

I'd be doing it on ao3 and use the 'inspired by' function when posting, so you would be properly credited.

I am absolutely fine with people podficcing my work :) People who have the patience to do that totally have my approval (and respect honestly) to do so (as long as I’m credited as the original author, which you’ve already confirmed you’d be doing 😊). 

@mtlyfe is actually insane and has been podficcing my longest fic Actions, which is over 400k words (because they want to suffer or something? But still love them for doing it ❤)

Hey, first of all, thank you very much for reading my fic. Secondly, that's wild, that you like it enough to make a podfic out of it, it's very flattering! Thank you. I really wouldn't mind at all actually, anyone wanting to make a thing inspired by my fic is very welcome to do so and I'd very much love it if they did, frankly. Hope you don't mind I'm answering this publicly, just in case someone else has the absolutely wild idea to make any sort of thing inspired by pushed around and kicked around. (!!!!)

- Sneak Peak -

Stiles looks back over his shoulder. Derek is crossing the bridge towards them, headphones on under his hood. The rain has picked up. Fog rolls from the water up over the community center, casting Derek in gray shadow.

Allison stands and quietly gathers her things. Probably, she noticed Derek before Stiles had. “See you inside,” she says and waves them off to turn out into the rain.

The revelations of last night unsettled their group dynamic in ways that Stiles can’t properly comprehend. The air, even as it hangs between Scott and him, is taut with tension. He’s not looking forward to what it’ll be like when Derek and Allison end up in the same room again. By the looks of it, a resolution between them is nowhere in sight.

Not that Stiles expects Allison to forgive Derek for killing her aunt. Allison’s good nature does have limits.

Officer Friendly has picked up on Derek’s arrival as well, and finally manages to extract himself from Lydia to walk over to the rest of the group. He pins Stiles and Derek with his gaze and shoots his hand out to Stiles, the closer of the two, for a handshake.

And Derek is there, brushing past Stiles, intercepting the handshake before the officer can touch Stiles’ bare skin.

“Officer,” Derek greets gruffly.

“OH MY GOD THEY WERE ROOMMATES” AU!!! Okay. TY Theo u rock!

This will be an Alive!Erica/Boyd/Allison/Laura  and therefore a dead!peter AU because I’m a slut for Derek having a less sad life. Also Cora doesn’t disappear and goes to NYC with Laura and Derek

Derek loved his apartment. It was cozy, den-like, and it smelled like pack. The kitchen set-up was great and Isaac was a great roommate–it was like living with his little brother. The rest of the pack was always in and out as well.  It had taken awhile for his therapist, Cora, and Laura to convince him to move into a nice decent place–to convince him he deserved nice things, that the fire wasn’t his fault.

Derek had come so far what with therapy and so much support from his alpha and pack mates. The move back to Beacon hills before Cora’s junior year was tough, so many memories, so much guilt, but Laura’s alpha needed to be on their soil, in their air. She moved a year early to set up a new pack house. She added Erica and Isaac to their pack after witnessing a major seizure of Erica’s that almost killed her and heard isaacs dad being a terrible person and Isaac begging for a way out.

Derek and Cora moved over the summer and into the pack house. During their junior year Stiles and Cora become bffs when Scott, Isaac, and Allison start dating and get too wrapped up in each other. Derek is highly amused by his little sister’s clumsy new bff, but he’s still working on himself so he comes across as very sourwolf.

During senior year Scott has an epic asthma attack and Isaac tells him about werewolves. Stiles (and John) already knew because Claudia was a spark and knew shit and told stiles all about it while she was alive. Scott is so hurt that his bff AND his bf kept him in the dark for A YEAR. But ends up taking the bite and becoming Laura’s beta.

The kids go to college all over but visit a lot because pack. Isaac stays in beacon hills for school and he and Derek get the apartment cuz Derek needs broody space and Isaac can finally officially leave his dad.

When Scott and stiles finish school (and everyone else but they aren’t relevant rn) Scallisaac move in together and Derek is lonely. Cora suggests stiles move in because he doesn’t want to live with his dad as a college grad. Derek says okay even though he might have a crush, but he figures living with someone his the best way to get over them.

Stiles is super nervous to move in with Derek (the guy he’s been in love with since he picked up Cora from stiles’s house junior year), but he’s also so excited to move out (even though Derek is a deputy so is basically a direct reporting line to his dad).

The first few months living together Derek can’t stop staring at stiles as he goes about his day. The way he eats like a starved puppy and brushes his teeth so messily and shuffles around in only his pj pants in the morning with his eyes screwed shut. All the things that should make him want to wring stiles neck just make him want to kiss it even more.
