Love all the interactions (truly felt like it was in line with how E33 characters are kind of mirrors of each other in some form or another. For both their good and bad).

Sciel and Aline's section truly was peak. The grief of a mother who lost a child ahuehfh... Aline grabbing her so her last moments are warm and not alone (thinking about the last time she tried to kill herself, it was cold and lonely in the vast sea and maybe I'm screaming a little inside for Sciel; maybe I'm wondering how Aline feels knowing there's someone who understands her specific grief).

Also delighted in Lune and Clea's parts. Of course the two "on a warpath", fueled-by-anger daughters run into each other and resort to violence until one of them finally gets tired of it. I think you captured how a hypothetical meeting between the two of them would go very well lol (side note: "Now I also find myself helpless at the whim of an enigmatic god and it. Fucking. Sucks." has me cackling still)

Aline with her children aaaaa. Her love winning out when she realizes it's Alicia who's trapped, only to be faced with the consequences of her avoidance from before. She and pVerso saying *adieu* specifically to each other, after she acknowledges that he may not be *that Verso*, but he's still her son. A brick would have been less painful.

Love the imagery in the ending too. Literally pouring her life and love into the Canvas. "Do you love it enough to live for it?" is always the best shit ever. Living for it and bearing the burdens of life is so difficult. And the callbacks to the parts of her that make her an Expeditioner and the parts that make her a Paintress--or Maelle and Alicia--delightful, because you can't separate one from the other anymore. Which, combined with how Sciel points it out earlier that she's running away from "Alicia", hhhhfhf good stuff.

This got longer than I intended but I wanted to gush about it a bit since it's one of my fav E33 fics despite not having played StP before! Tq so much for writing and sharing it!

Sciel and Aline was a last-minute addition and I'm SO glad I did because aaaagh. They just. It's such a pity that we never got to see them interact in canon. Thinking about it makes me want to write more of them.

Clea and Lune... I'm definitely thinking of doing more with them, because there's so much we didn't get to see here. Their dynamic has so much potential.

Aline and pVerso... I listened to that piano piece from Your Lie in April while writing it (IYKYK). Don't recommend. I might have cried.

And the last scene. I've been wanting to do a "Alicia replaces her brother's soul in the Canvas" AU ending for awhile, but I had no clue how to get to it before attempting this. And StP's visual themes around body horror gave me an excuse to do it in a much more. Visceral way.

annabeth: the most obvious one, but architect. between designing olympus and going to that school mentioned in cotg, it seems like she's farther along in her career at 17 than i am at 21 (it's fine it's fine)

percy: i think percy would jump job to job, maybe working at a skate shop through college, then an aquarium tour guide, and then ultimately as a social worker. i've seen a lot of sweet headcanons on how he would want to help kids in rough situations that remind him of himself, and i whole-heartedly agree. (in the canon-verse, i also think he'd want to work close to camp, perhaps as a sword instructor part-time during the summer or something)

will: i can't emphasize enough how much i don't interact with will content...i have nothing against the guy lol (other than not being a solangelo fan, though that's not the fault of a fictional character), i just happen to not get into his character. that being said, i'm choosing the boring answer: doctor. specifically, a pediatric doctor, as i think he'd be really good with kids :-)

nico: this guy's unpredictable...either unemployed/Don't Ask Where He Got His Money From, a medium (guy that can commune with the dead, usually for grieving families), a freelance artist (in this economy??), or an english teacher who is every-now-&-then possesed to talk about The Nuances (just like me fr) (and again, in this economy??)

frank: zoologist... or archery coach?? [gunshots]

hazel: archeologist. depending on the mortal au's alteration of The Whole Being Dead Thing + her abilities aside, i think she would take an interest in studying history on site & through the earth

piper: why can i potentially see her as like an influencer lmaoo...but like a normal one, one that makes 45 minute long commentaries on some movie from 2004 that no one remembers, but it's so funny that people can't help but love it. i could also see her dabbling in fashion depending on her stances given the Not Like Other Girls of it all.

leo: again with the obvious, but a mechanic like his mom. i could see him making some new invention that rockets him into fame & fortune, or i could see him maintaining a comfortable living fixing things for his community. i also think he'd feature on piper's youtube channel lmao
