❀ they get together after events in book 6, which has made them attached to the hip(s)

❀ they had trouble sleeping for awhile, even before they got together. rook and epel would have nightmares about vil succumbing to his overblot that would later morph to vil withering away from his exposure to tartarus. vil would have straight up night terrors, which more often than not involved him killing rook and epel and others during his overblot or himself withering away

❀ that’s when they start having movie nights for when they can’t sleep. they always end up falling asleep in vil’s bed together, mostly free of any nightmares

❀ when someone does have a nightmare, cuddling helps a lot, particularly for vil

❀ vil is often in the middle of cuddles, but sometimes epel will sprawl across him and rook

❀ cuddles eventually lead to soft kisses on the forehead/cheek, but one day epel slips up and kisses vil on the lips. he’s so embarrassed and apologetic but vil quiets him with a kiss (and kisses rook right after too so he doesn’t feel left out) before turning to go back to bed, leaving rook and epel flustered all night (they may get out of bed to kiss each other so they don’t wake vil...)

❀ epel is very hesitant to admit he wants a relationship with rook and vil. he’s not experienced with dating or a romantic

❀ any romantic gestures from vil goes over epel’s head, while any from rook causes him to get embarrassed because of how…gushy rook gets (and ofc he gets flustered when rook and vil are lovey with each other)

❀ they’ll talk about their relationship eventually, agreeing to keep it on the down-low for their own reasonings(vil’s career, rook being secretive in general, and epel feeling conflicted about having two boyfriends or dating at all)…but as their relationship progresses it becomes an open secret because they can’t keep their hands off of each other

❀ rook can and will show affection to his boyfriends and gush about them

❀ during NRC they have a sort of open relationship, so they go on dates with other people sometimes, but after they graduate they get too busy to be an open relationship

❀ while epel is finishing his studies at NRC, rook and vil work with his family to have a home built outside of harveston. its nice and secluded and surrounded by woods, and the house is nice and roomy if they ever decide to expand their family (by adopting pets/kids cough or making kids)

Rabbits could be kept for a variety of reasons. For Vil and Rook, their precious bunny was a symbol of beauty and a source of companionship. Epel wasn’t a sort of purebred purchased from a breeder, but he was beautiful and always dolled up in only the most luxurious of clothing and jewelry. And he may deny it, but Epel craved attention from the couple…and sex. Lots of sex. Which was good, because it was part of the reason Vil invested in Epel..to satisfy his partner’s sexual appetite. Vil was a busy person, after all, and as much as he loved Rook, he had proven to be a distraction at the worst of times.

For Riddle, his rabbits were for protection and assistance. Rabbits in the Queendom of Roses were a symbol of hard work and devotion, so they were typically bred for their strength and speed, and of course were trained thoroughly. If Riddle’s rabbits weren’t at his side, they were off running errands for him, from delivering important documents to picking up pastries their master craved. The couple wasn’t sure if Riddle sought out “comfort” from his pets like they did with Epel, but it wasn’t uncommon in the Queendom of Roses either. Rabbits are always ready to breed and have a high sex drive, no matter where they came from.

Vil and Rook were surprised when Riddle had reached out to them. Riddle already had a doe, a pregnant one at that, so they were curious as to why he’d be interested in breeding his bucks with their sweet Epel. It turns out the three bucks have gotten aggressive and territorial as the doe’s pregnancy progressed. If Riddle didn’t find them fighting, he would find them on top of the poor doe, who was too far along to be ravaged by three other rabbits at once. Riddle was more interested in satisfying his bucks, and when he saw Vil and Rook sought out to breed their beloved pet, he figured he’d reach out to them…He definitely didn’t as because he saw his rabbits peak interest in Epel when one of them was scrolling through Magicam.

So they have an arrangement where they exchange their does for a month or until Deuce has his kit(s?). Meanwhile, Epel would stay with Riddle and…spend time with the other rabbits.

Of course Ace, Trey and Cater would try to be affectionate or gentle with Epel at first, which would actually piss him off because he isn’t there to be treated like a delicate flower. Eventually though they’ll figure out what Epel wants/needs and indulge him and then some. They’ll bully him too of course..Epel has soft and sensitive floppy ears and an expressive and cute tail, and when they find that out they use it to their advantage <3
