You guys have no clue how much of a rollercoaster my day was (I know I have no follows but I need to yell into the void somewhere).
So at the moment I’m doing an internship at a school because of university and I was supposed to go to a lecture that was part of it (otherwise the internship wouldn’t be acknowledged). This lecture was held in different groups and mine was supposed to be last Thursday. I missed it because I thought these lectures only started in March and tried for the last week to get into one of the other lectures, contacting the other lecturers. Today the man responsible for this whole thing wrote back and told me I had to repeat the internship next year. I was super sad and had to tell my mentor at school the news, and was prepared to tell my parents (which caused my anxiety to spike to all heavens).
Just now I received a mail from the same man that after reconsidering it, one of the lecturers would take me on.
Now I’m again near crying but this time happy tears 🙃

Today has been a real whirlwind.
⬇️ woke up in the middle of the night to our dog making some weird sounds like she was choking.
⬇️ had to cancel travel plans for next week, as my husband's work trip got cancelled (I was going to tag along). So now we have some money in credit a Southwest to use in the next year.
⬆️ taught the final session of my class for this semester. Some of my students "got it"... But not all of them. ⬇️
⬆️ one of my favorite students gave me a thank you note.
⬆️ got some good news from a family member, but it hit me kind of weirdly for reasons I won't get into here ⬇️
⬆️ went to an election night party because I was worried about FOMO but only stayed 30 minutes because I felt like a sore thumb. ⬇️
⬇️ The very progressive candidate for Gov in my state lost.
⬆️ but lots of local Dems one some pretty big races!
Over all, I've made it through. Sure, I've been glued to my TV screen and phone all night watching for results, but hey, midterm elections are important.
