I found this old thing in my drafts. It was for a two-part question on my Ask Rolf account, but I never finished part II [x]. The lineart was an absolute bitch cuz I inked it by hand and cleaned it up digitally... but I kind of like the colours if nothing else.
-le sigh- I really really need to buy a tablet.... inking by hand and cleaning up all the pencil lines and editing the lineart digitally with a mouse is just sooo incredibly tedious and time consuming (and physically painful). And of course, there's always glaring flaws. It's why I rarely ink my art these days and just paint over pencil sketches... and I know it looks crappy. Like, I don't mind inking by hand for traditional art, but for digital art, it's just... more unnecessary work.... I hate the way it looks and I can't keep doing it traditionally or I'm gonna go insane.... it just takes way too long.... like, I'll literally spend a whole day *just* on lineart.... I did end up buying a cheap XPPen Deco 640 Drawing Tablet, but it didn't work out for me and I had to return it to Amazon. I know everyone says Wacom is the best but Idk... I'm getting conflicting answers. So, I'm still currently researching the best options out there but most of the really good ones are so crazy expensive... I need one where I can draw directly onto the screen... like I still prefer to sketch with pencil and paper, but I just.... I just need to make life easier for myself when it comes to lineart.... I need something that's preferably compatible with either Gimp 2.8 or Clip Studio Paint. If anyone knows good recommendations for drawing tablets, let me know. I'm indecisive on what to buy...
Replayed PoR recently and that put me in the mood to draw some Tellius stuff.
