Where to begin. 😂 There is so much that is so wrong with this picture—the first time my visage saw print in the newspaper because of magic. With the copious amount of time that is available because of the pandemic, I am utilizing it primarily in two ways: working on our new show with my team (via teleconference) AND doing a deep clean of the magical memorabilia and paraphernalia that I’ve amassed over the years. It’s truly stunning what one finds after 50 years of collecting “stuff”. Case in point, a sequinned bow tie I used to wear as part of my costume. Oh, yeah! Your read it correctly. Sequins! Decades ago my costume was a white tuxedo (complete with tails), white patent leather shoes, and a red sequinned bow tie, cummerbund, and pocket handkerchief. My wife, who would assist me, would have, as accessories, a matching red sequinned belt and a pair of red sequinned pumps. Yeah, we were stylin’! 😏 My how times—and tastes—have changed. What is cool, though, is that my Mother made all the accessories (except for the shoes, of course).
