For a professional magician, a stack of playing cards is as good as a stack of money.

The concept of correspondence fascinates me because it seems to sit at the very baseline of how I think. It is the instinct to notice that nothing exists in complete isolation, that ideas, experiences, systems, and symbols are constantly reflecting one another. In psychology, associationism is built upon the linking of concepts through experience while behaviourism studies the relationships between stimuli, responses, and environments. Yet centuries before these theories, Hermeticism had already articulated the Principle of Correspondence through the simple yet enduring phrase, "as above, so below." What interests me is not necessarily whether such correspondences are metaphysically true, but how often they emerge across different domains of knowledge.
The same emphasis on connection appears in discussions of mycelial networks, systems theory, symbolism, literature, and even the reports of those who describe psychedelic experiences as a sudden awareness of interconnectedness.
Perhaps correspondence persists because it reflects a deeply human way of perceiving the world: not as a collection of isolated facts, but as a web of relationships where patterns echo across scales, revealing unexpected similarities between the inner and outer, the personal and collective, the microcosm and the macrocosm. Instead of a search for hierarchy, it becomes a search for integration.
Alongside correspondence, the principles of Mentalism and Alchemy are some intriguing aspects of Hermetic thought.
This is perhaps why I was not surprised to see artificial intelligence described as a form of modern alchemy. Alchemy was never merely about transforming lead into gold or altering the physical properties of matter but was equally concerned with transformation itselfβthe transmission of forms, the transmutation of states, the movement between the concrete and the abstract.
In many ways, it was a philosophy of becoming. Mentalism extends this further through the proposition that reality is fundamentally mental in nature, drawing attention to the extraordinary capacity of imagination, symbolism, and thought.
Hence the popular phrase "imagination has no limits" echoed this principle for me, for the mind can conceive of worlds, possibilities, and structures far beyond the constraints of the body.
Yet Hermeticism is not a rejection of material reality. Rather, it exists in the tension between possibility and limitation, between what can be imagined and what can be enacted. To think alchemically is not simply to dream but to ask what can be transformed? what can be directed? and what remains bound by the conditions of existence.
Alchemy becomes less a forgotten proto-chemistry and more of a metaphor for every process of changeβ psychological, creative, technological, and spiritual.

It's really crazy yet powerful to have people verbalize and reflect what you're thinking. The more you think about what kind of energy you want to radiate; the more others will not only feel it but tell you exactly how you are trying to come across as. You wanna have the aura of a dark, ethereal, soul snatcher, you have to deeply think about it and meditate on it. Here's some tips:
-Enter into the dark void by meditating on how you want to be perceived in the dark or closing your eyes alone or with silence. Become that darkness and envision yourself as the black hole in space.
-Look into the mirror and enter into a trance whether its hand mirror or bathroom mirror and try to put yourself in a trance. The world and others hypnotize you through social media all day why not hypnotize yourself. You look into the mirror and say for example, "I am enchanting, "I am beautiful, I am magnetic, etc". Say it until you fall into a trance.
-Learn to embody after these steps you'll then start to embody the energy you want to become deeply and fully, however, for lasting results this has to be practiced frequently. Watch how your energy changes and see how people start to pick up on it.
P.S. this can be used in all areas of your life and can be reversed if you don't want to be seen or getting frequent attention. Good luck dark angels!

Hello, finally time for new posts. I asked myself, "What should I post right now?" and "Which topic would be more useful to people if they think it is worth reading and spend a couple of minutes?" Then I realized, people who will read it(which is you, btw)could tell me what they want to learn.
So, please send me a dm or comment here. What topic would you like to see covered next? It could be related to observation, deduction, philosophy, psychology and even life, really. Just let me know and I will deliver something worth your time.
