David Thomas + Michele Temple + Robert Wheeler + Tom Herman….
I SAW LIVE The clubbing was one of the great ones; the kind that can hardly – or not at all – be missed, risking missing some of the best moments of the year.
It was a great night; the expected energy was released from the guitars, the noise that made the offering even more attractive came from the theremin, and David Thomas's voice rose with the usual schizophrenia of Pere Ubu.
But things wouldn't be easy from the start; visibly bothered by the sound deficiencies, David Thomas left the stage and left the rest of the band playing alone.
Shortly after, the stage was completely empty, then the musicians followed the leader's lead.
After a few moments of suspense, Pere Ubu returned to the stage and went back to work, with David Thomas apparently insulting and tying up his musicians.
Michele Temple is a multi-faceted musician, touring internationally and recording as the bass player for Pere Ubu; subbing on guitar on and off Broadway in musical theater productions; playing guitar and bass with the hiphop production team the Jettsonz; and providing musical support for countless singers both live and on recordings.
She also produces and composes music at her project studio, Urban Iguana Productions, where she additionally records and engineers music for local artists.
