So, how are we feeling about Ragnarok Online 3, my fellow ancient RO-junkies? The og was my first ever mmo and the first online space i made lasting friendships in back in 2004-2011-ish(i stopped playing actively after renewal more or less), so it has a very special place in my heart. Because of that, a remake of the og with added modern implementations etc. is definitely something i really wish would be good... but at the same time my gut feeling is that something like that might be too good to be true. I feel like Gravity really missed the targets entirely with the attempted sequels and mobile spin-off type games for RO up until now, and there's a good chance they'll fuck it up with bullshit store for ingame stuff even if the game is otherwise decent. This is after all a very easy nostalgia cash grab for them, if they want to go overboard with that. I mostly played the og on private servers back in the day that only offered cosmetics in exchange of money, so I feel like the most hope i have for RO3 is that private servers would once again thrive if the game will be good and popular enough. I've lost enough hope/respect towards Gravity by now that I can't really bring myself to be as hyped as i'd want to be about this... But holy shit it tugs at my heartstrings wildly regardless. I want to experince something similar enough to the og without the jank controls and other outdatedness so badly. To me the bits shown look pretty good, but i really hope it also plays nicely. I'm not too interested in all the added new stuff buuuuut, i'm giving it a chance to impress if it works well with the rest. Either way i'll definitely be trying it out when it comes out or if i happen to get a test access. I wasn't really expecting a "remake" 20 years later, i'll say that much.

The car roared to life around Alexander, a cacophony of unfamiliar sounds. His old car—which had still been very new—was nothing more than a balled up wad of tinfoil now in the driveway at the Ives’ compound in St. Vladimir’s. By the time he made it back home tonight, if he made it back home, Alexander expected it would be gone off to impound. All the glittering glass swept, all the evidence erased.
Alexander would park his new, faster, louder car atop where the last one had been destroyed. The world would move on. He adjusted his rearview mirror and was grateful to be spared his reflection. The car’s new leathery smell, unwrinkled seats, and complete lack of dust was reminder enough. Alexander lit a cigarette. He couldn’t bruise, but he saw the splitting cracks at his knuckles. His hands shook as he put the lighter away, and he stopped them by gripping the wheel. “Come on,” he said impatiently. All around them the street filled with the growl of his car but Alexander could not distinguish it from his own impatience.
He looked over and saw a familiar opponent, a motorcyclist shrouded in a helmet that typically inspired some degree of fear in him. Naturally, as she’d beaten him in so many races before. “Well, not today,” he warned, though out of reach of her ears. His eyes affixed to the road ahead, waiting for the light to turn. He needed this victory. For what, he couldn’t say, but he stared straight ahead and knew it. He palmed the gearshift, ready to go.
Little wip comic. More gay silliness~
A couple more from the Old stash. Maybe once I start throwing in the new stuff we'll get a little more coherent.

It's been a Hot Minute since I shared any art here. Been seriously working on this story again, SO have a dump of Nearly 10 Year Old Art. Ya know before I dump in all the new stuff lol
Story- Rule of 3
Characters- Rhea Tigner, Jack Edwards, and Rhea's talking magic cloak Phobos.
Vibes- Wizards, Sorcerers, Mages, Magic, Modern-ish Fantasy (is 2008 modern?), conspiracies, wars, mysteries, and hopefully plenty of humor and romance.
Swamp King: For, since the tragic death of her father—
Courtier: [tending to said father] He's not quite dead!
Swamp King: Since the near fatal wounding of her father—
Courtier: He's getting better!
[the Swamp King nods to one of his guards, who draws his sword, walks over to the father, and stabs him in the chest]
Swamp King: For since her own father who, when he seemed about to recover, suddenly felt the cold hand of death upon him.

1, 3 and 6 for the fic writers asks?
Yayyy yippeeee asks!!!
1. That would be one for Rule Of Threes!
“And Fidds? I love you too.”
3. Rule Of Threes again- a little nervous that I won’t be able to hold onto this interest long enough to finish what my cowriter and I have planned, but I’ll probably have more free time once I’m out of school for the year.
6. “Fiddleford”. Sounds about right, considering he’s the focus of this one
