jon hearing about bael the bard stealing a winter rose from winterfell juxtaposed with sansa flowering for the first time? ygritte, the one telling jon the story, sharing a variety of features with sansa? everyone and their dog trying to steal sansa, a stark maiden, just like lyanna was stolen by rhaegar? jon thinking of sansa as a willowy creature awaiting rescue in a tower, exactly as lyanna was awaiting rescue in the tower of joy after giving birth to jon? val, the princess in a tower he was considering when sansa entered his thoughts, magically changing her hair and eye color when she's standing next to ghost to resemble sansa? arianne, yet another princess in a tower, having a bastard for a lover?

the list goes on and on...

because the thing is, not only does jonsa as a theory have some pretty powerful evidence, it has an overwhelming amount of evidence to support it.

this is one of the things that always strikes me about people who dismiss the theory. you never see them going through the compiled evidence piece by piece before dismissing the theory as impossible. they'll only address a single piece of evidence at a time, come up with an explanation for why that one piece of evidence is actually referring to something else or means nothing, and then declare the entire theory debunked. it's basically a straw man tactic, pretending that a single piece of evidence is the entire theory.

alternatively, they will simply declare people who believe in the theory "delusional" or "lacking in reading comprehension" without offering a single piece of evidence to support this declaration. you could call this an ad hominem attack, but at least most ad hominem attacks will try to convince you with some sort of evidence. this is truly just a lack of willingness to engage with the theory with intellectual honesty.

something i'd love to see an asoiaf youtuber make is a video where they go through the jonsa evidence piece by piece and analyze it on its merits. people have made such videos for literally every other asoiaf theory out there, including pure crack theories like merman varys.

and yet, despite everyone being sooooo convinced that jonsa is equally crack-y and easy to disprove, no one is willing to truly sit down with all the evidence and debunk each point one by one. to me, it's obvious that that's because 1) the video would be insanely long because there is just so much evidence, and 2) they're afraid of realizing that the theory is credible and that they've been misinterpreting a lot of things for a long time.

Isaac. We hate him. Obviously. He was born into a very wealthy family with very many children so he got kind of lost in the shuffle being the youngest and constantly getting sick. But one lucky Christmas morning he He woke up to find a magical Jack in The box at the edge of his bed. Inside was Jack, And they quickly became best friends. Everything was great but sadly, suddenly all of his siblings began to die of a wasting disease...

It went on like that for years until it was just Isaac and Lily left. Their parents had tried everything to stop their kids from getting sick and dying but nothing seemed to work. So Isaac's father decided it was the house and sent him and Lily away to separate boarding schools in hopes to save his 2 remaining children from the strange illness. Isaac said Goodbye to laughing Jack promising he would return soon.

That did not happen. Isaacated boarding school with a passion and worse he began to hear strange voices from the woods. This all culminated in 1 day him getting so pissed that he snuck into the kitchen's stole a butcher's knife and chopped up every one in his dorm. Then he ran screaming Into the woods and was met with a tall faceless figure who offered him a deal. "Become my servant and you will have all the power you've ever wanted no one will ever call you small or weak or idiotic ever again" And Isaac took that deal graciously.

Isaac was suspected dead in the massacre with the rest of his classmates, as the bodies were in such disarray it was hard to tell who was who. Lily was the last sibling left and when her parents passed away (of a strange wasting disease), She and her husband and 3 children inherited the estate.

Meanwhile Isaac was living it up in the woods killing people, Life was fucking great until he turned 22. See slender man likes to refresh his proxies every 10 years or so and Isaac was beginning to realize he was aging out. He was getting too old for the slender man to use and he really didn't want to die or be pulled deep into the dark of the forest forever. So he did the only sensible thing. He stole a seer (Yes from the seer) book, And found out the only way to free himself was to have a relative crop off his hand, And bleed themselves to death.

Just kind of sauntered up to his old house and was like "hello sister I haven't seen since I was like 9, I need you to cut off my hand". Of course poor Lily was very confused but Isaac was very insistent, But if they didn't do this a horrible demon creature from the woods would rain hell upon her family. So Lily agreed and they planned to do it in Isaac's old room too. Too bad they forgot to lock the door because Lily's youngest daughter snuck in Found Jack's box and wounded up right as they were doing the ritual.

LJ is at first ecstatic to be out but gets very very mad when Isaac doesn't remember him. He gets even more mad when he finds out Isaac made a new friend (Signing himself over to be a proxy). In a blind Eldridge rage LJ nearly kills Isaac as he is still bleeding significantly because of the handgetting chopped off improperly. And then to make situation even worse as Isaac is bleeding outhe other proxies find him and dragged him screaming Into the woods as Lily is able to trick LJ into getting back in the box.

After experiencing her first run in with the horrors of the supernatural Lily, Decides to hide Lj's box deep deep in the attic of their mansion And also covers up any mention of Isaac ever existing in their family records as she does not want to be connected to such a Monster. She teaches her children never ever to touch that box and they teach their children but over time it is forgotten and becomes just a myth. In poor LJ rots in his box, Until a 21st century boy named William finds him by accident.
