the st costume designer calling el’s rink-o-mania outfit her “will look” (from here) is so funny in a byler context because wdym mike spent the whole day trying to be “normal” and pretending to hyperfocus on his girlfriend like he’s “supposed” to while pretending to ignore will but really he noticed every single thing will did and even listed it out (“rolling your eyes, moping, barely talking”) but he didn’t notice that el was actually miserable and lying to him the whole day. and all this while will and el look like genderbent versions of each other and el is wearing her “will look”.
