Tragic news. Kevin Conroy, the iconic voice behind Batman, has passed away at the age of 66.
I have heard.
He will be missed.

Yesterday we lost a great man. Apparently beloved Batman voice actor, Kevin Conroy passed away. Future Batman games and animated media won’t be the same without you.
I wasn’t a crazy fan, I played and enjoyed the Arkham Game series but personally, my Batman fixation was on the underrated 2004 The Batman cartoon. But I still knew how iconic and loved Conroy’s Batman is.
If only legends could live forever......
Rest in Bat Power and Peace Kevin Conroy. You were one of my favorite voice actors and voices of Wayne and Batman. I adored you in Batman Beyond returning to the role. Was an honor to meet and speak to you at Stan Lee Con in Los Angeles years ago with my boyfriend/partner Bradley when we were cosplaying Harley Quinn and Harvey Bullock. You are going to be missed by so many who knew, adored or loved you and your work. 🖤💛🦇

Without a doubt, he was the best Batman. Hands down. Way back when Batman Begins came out, I was at Midtown Comics picking up the latest Buffy and Terry Moore books and two sales clerks were arguing over who was the best Batman. One insisted it was Christian Bale, the other was insisting it was Michael Keaton. As it became my turn to pay, they asked my opinion of the choices. I looked at them and said, "The correct answer is Kevin Conroy". Their response was a series of dumbstruck "Aw, shit!"s and similar, before both conceded I was right.
When Mel Blanc died, there was an amazing illustration of all the characters he voiced gathered around a microphone to mourn. I hope similar work is done for Conroy, the greatest Batman that ever was.
The voice actor played the Dark Knight for 30 years, beginning with 'Batman: The Animated Series.'
