always hated how weird people acted when you say theres like an underlying presence of predatory themes in the missing children's case. likeeeee no i dont think afton was a pedophile yes i actually think fnaf would be worse if this was canon and no i dont like. ENJOY the thought but like. pretending it doesn't exist and that everyone who even thinks about the implications of a guy who uses a children's mascot costume to lure children into the back of his restaraunt to kill them and perpetually exists as their tormentor for all of eternity are weird or overthinking it. come on .
#i think as like. an unspoken and analogous undercurrent it's interesting and actually adds a layer of horror#like ok come on if you're telling me this was never even like an abstract consideration when you piece together the horrors of the lore#i am genuinely convinced you're either lying or just haven't actually like. processed or understood it.#like the implications aren't intentional i dont think but like the thing is a lot of the psychological horror is rooted in#the helplessness of the futility of the situation which is hinged on childhood innocence being preyed on.#i don't necessarily think its a METAPHOR or even like a direct allegorical parallel#but it is like. reliant on the dynamic of innocence and childhood naivete being exploited by those they trust/should feel safe with#and the subsequent loss of innocence as a result#right .
