What would happen if a visitor returns to the theater (but remembered everything) to thank Balan and Lance and anyone else that may have helped them?
While I think that's simply not possible, let's say for the sake of argument that this does happen one time!
First of all, I think Balan would be completely floored. Whether or not the visitor opened with "I remember you!" Or they waited for Balan to do his schtick and simply told him afterwards, the Maestro would be absolutely baffled. How could they remember him, did he mess up the mind wiping magic somehow?? Was this person gifted in some manner that made them immune to the magic?? He would kind of, reboot for a long moment in awe, maybe slight panic. If this could happen with one person, had it happened with others?
Eventually he would remember what was happening and apologise, "Dear me, forgive that moment of silence. I just... Wasn't expecting you to remember me." Honestly, I think the visitor coming back just to thank Balan and Lance would mean a lot, and I mean a lot to them. They normally aren't used to receiving thanks, because people don't realise they'll forget (or, I assume as much. If they informed people they would forget beforehand, I feel like that's a liability if someone puts up a fight and doesn't want to leave). And, they certainly aren't used to people going out of their way to return and thank them in person. Balan and Lance would be... Speechless. Completely. I think it's something that would remain with them probably forever.
