After some separate motifs, I felt ready to take on my first Irish Crochet project: this reticule from the 1912 The Glossilla Book of Crochet Novelties. (Link to Archive.org)
Only have the rose and one leaf so far but I’m really liking it! The yarn I use is slightly thicker than the recommended thread but I don’t mind the reticule being a little bigger than in the book.
I have an antique purse clasp I found at a flea market last weekend, so I might adapt the pattern a little to work for that instead of keeping it a drawstring reticule.
