I keep seeing stuff on here and on other platforms from witchy folks that's about resetting w/ the full moon. This is especially relevant with the recent sabbat and full moon a couple of days ago, as well as the one at the end of the month.
This is a small PSA from someone who has done resets and loves them both magical and mundane: too many resets can prevent energy from working. Please be careful when resetting frequently.
Elaboration (if you want):
I started my practice right about a year and a month ago from this post (April/May 2025). I'd been thinking about it since roughly March of that year, and being in the home I am, practicing wouldn't exactly be safe. So I chose to do a simple ward and a resetting/cleansing to practice. Did it again the next month, and the month after that to practice and stay under the radar.
School let out that third month and I was suddenly routineless and without supervision, resulting in what I thought to be a change-induced emotional and energetic slump. Also, being new to magic made it so that I didn't automatically check both sources of energy. This combination came with me doing another reset, my fifth in two or three months, and wiped me out even further. I was not okay, and as a result of this I forgot to do wards and cleanse the following month. That month was a lot better than the previous ones, but I panicked and redid my wards. Notably, not recleansing or resetting.
I later figured out what happened: I reset so much I'd accidentally stagnated my own energy and made it impossible to progress. There were other factors and I was brand-spanking-new to magic without a reliable guide, but there was no energy for me to draw from because I'd removed it all from my room (where I practice).
Please be careful when resetting frequently. It can be a good thing, but too much of anything will mess with you.

Bit of a warning/announcement hehe. Sorry if you're seeing my posts twice! I had to make an entire new blog and account suddenly not long into my old one's existence and lots of technical issues were involved. The option that required the least amount of turmoil is just sorta starting over. I will still post as normal and re-upload all of my original posts! Just letting you know in case you're seeing this stuff more than once. Hope you guys don't mind! Thanks!
